New York City Councilman Daniel Dromm (D-Queens) is leading an effort to draft legislation to let non-citizens vote in New York City’s municipal elections

Though the final details have not been worked out and a bill has not yet been introduced in the city council, advance discussion of the legislation reveals that it would provide voting privileges to documented residents who have lived in New York City for at least six months. Such individuals would not be allowed to vote in state or federal elections.

Representation without taxation. Soon, the illegal's that don't pay all their taxes, will control where the US tax payers spend their money. What a hell? Treason? Allowing non-registered voters to vote is call election fraud.
Is this act a Constitutional?

Why do you conclude "they" don't pay taxes? If they are "documented" and employed they pay the same taxes as everyone else.

finally the moderate repubs / rinos that have supported illegal immigration and sanctuary cities will get to pay more in taxes !!

This proposal is to let them vote in city elections. Diblasio will get a Chicago lesson as to what happens when immigrants vote.

Thought the whole point of voter ID was to confirm citizenship and eligibility to vote? What's next non-state resisdents visiting on vacation or a holiday can too?

Next election Daniel Dromm will be replaced by Jose Martinez or Min Chen.

Would assume there's an uptick in conservative voting that liberals are thinking about long-term. If they change it down the line the reason's more apparent, if they do it now when it doesn't seem necessary or advantageous to dems it might be easier to get it done.
