Exploding asteroids, Adam and Eve, and Pontius Pilot.

First, some preliminary data suggest that an exploding meteor obliterated cities and farming settlements north of the Dead Sea around 3,700 years ago, which may have been Sodom and Gomorrah.

“Radiocarbon dating and unearthed minerals that instantly crystallized at high temperatures indicate that a massive airburst caused by a meteor that exploded in the atmosphere instantaneously destroyed civilization in a 25-kilometer-wide circular plain called Middle Ghor, said archaeologist Phillip Silvia. The event also pushed a bubbling brine of Dead Sea salts over once-fertile farm land, Silvia and his colleagues suspect.”

Second, Genetic testing has revealed that there may have been an actual Adam and Eve.

“A scientific study has prompted speculation that all modern humans could have descended from a solitary pair who lived 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.

Scientists surveyed the genetic ‘bar codes’ of five million animals – including humans – from 100,000 different species and the results have prompted speculation that we sprang from a single pair of adults after a catastrophic event almost wiped out the human race.

…Stoeckle and Thaler, the scientists who headed the study, concluded that ninety percent of all animal species alive today come from parents that all began giving birth at roughly the same time, less than 250 thousand years ago – throwing into doubt the patterns of human evolution.”

Next, it appears that infamous Roman Governor Pontius Pilate’s ring may have been discovered at an ancient biblical fortress.

Experts in Israel have identified a ring that may have belonged to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who oversaw the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Haaretz reports that the bronze ring was discovered 50 years ago during excavations at the Herodion fortress in the Judean desert.

Initially uncovered in a dig led by Professor Gideon Foerster of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the ring was handed over to a team researchers currently working Herodion, led by Roi Porat, also of Hebrew University. Intense cleaning and a specialist camera owned by the Israel Antiquities Authority have revealed the ring’s secrets.”

"prompting speculation". Keep trying, this ain't it.

Science explains old myths without any need to invoke gods, and the religious say, "well, that's what the religious text meant all along!"

As silly as this is, I'm cool with it. The world is a better place when religion is snap-fit to empirical knowledge, rather than empirical knowledge being dismissed as false in favor of religious myth.

Oh wow rational, non-magical explanations for previously suspected magical events. Shocker.

Like how science and historians showed that turning water into wine was a common party trick in the 1st century

Should be easy for you to do now then.

People aren’t as primitive and ignorant as back then. It wouldn’t have the same effect.

And it’s got to be the best tasting wine, not just coloring added.

Hero of Alexandria and his Magical Jugs

He could have bribed servants as easily. Maybe easier.

Well sure, as magical nonsense can be snap fit to anything and everything. I already covered that.

How odd, though, for you to say it, given your absurd, hilarious denial of so much of our scientific knowledge. Sounds to me like you two need to go find a quiet spot and figure out which of you two personalities are actually in charge of weatherman2020's brain.

What an amazing contradiction from someone who dogs on "Trump voters" all the time, amirite? Or maybe you're caught in all your contradictions...again

Dude, this website is literally a clearing house for Trump cultists. Nearly every thread is by or for them. Please allow the occasional thread not to turn into a trump cultist self help meeting. Thanks.

Funny how science keeps validating the Bible.

Funny how science keeps validating the Bible.
Not really. The Bible is a collection of myths and allegory. While empirical knowledge cannot be changed on a whim to align with all else, the magical religious paradigms can. So, it's not really "funny", but completely expected. Else, Bible thumpers have to reject empirical knowledge accepted as proven fact, which makes them and their magical fairy tale seem ridiculous. It's much easier to simply alter the magical paradigm to fit the new knowledge.

You obviously get all your information about the Bible from places other than the Bible.

The Bible is 1/3 history, 1/3 prophesy, 1/3 ethical instructions.

All of which have been proven to be true every time a discovery is made.

The Bible is 1/3 history, 1/3 prophesy, 1/3 ethical instructions.
And 1/3 magical nonsense, and 1/3 completely wrong conclusions about the physical world. Remember, it's magic , so we can have 5/3.

And the Noah myth is as disproven as an ignorant iron age myth can be disproven.
