I said this would happen due to the lefts cop hate movement and it is. Many cities probably are seeing the same. But New Orleans...wow. They are supposed to have 1600 officers but are lucky to keep 1100 at any time. A huge shortfall in manpower. The State Police are having to assist with patrols. They're losing cops faster than they can replace them. Unlike the military....there is no "stop loss" in police world.
NOPD has given 15% pay increases...but officers still flee.
They're fleeing to suburbs where they say "working conditions" are better (aka....their life and career isn't worth what happens in an urban area lately if a cop has to defend himself). They're losing veterans with decades at NOPD who flush it all to go start over elsewhere.
And I wonder....with such a desperate push for officers...especially minorities and females....WHY hasnt our national darling and New Orleans native Beyonce gone to take the oath and patrol New Orleans??? She has such a problem with how New Orleans is policed....well....show us. Be a true hero "Bey".
You don't need the money so a low salary is irrelevant. In fact...her whole black Panther dance crew could get hired.
They could all be the change they want. Go show us how New Orleans should be policed since it seems no one else wants to do it.
