New cars without AM radios

Can't tell me it is to save money by not including a AM tuner or anything because that's probably like .7 cents. The little led around the USB charging porter inside my center console no one ever sees costs more than a AM tuner.

The issue is insulating the interference from the batteries.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but I can honestly seeing left leaning auto makers doing this to help turn off conservative radio stations. Like around here the only way to hear glen beck on the radio is on a AM station same way with rush Limbaugh. They don't get FM play anywhere in my area.

European auto makers aren't making the decisions based upon some guy on the radio in the U.S.

Increasingly, auto manufacturers are not including AM radio with their cars.

And as we all know, AM is dominated by conservative talk radio.

Conspiracy anyone?

Corporations will now drive DNC policy.

Currently corporations are being told to go woke via ESG scores

If you don't comply with Leftist wokism, you will be cancelled from the pack as no one will do business with you.
That's capitalism you coward. Adapt or die.

Let the free market sort it out. Why should people who never listen to AM have to pay for conservatives medium to reach other conservatives with propaganda? Pay for it yourself if you want it maybe you can special order it.

Nope, capitalism is the free market of economics… not secret ratings organizations to hamstring businesses who hold the “wrong” views. That’s globalism/socialism being anti-capitalist. Socialism doesn’t work, yet you guys keep on wanting to employ its principles

Can you offer any evidence other than "because I said so" this is happening due to some sort of secret organizations?

Hamstring businesses? With every breath you morons reveal you know nothing about market forces. Broadcasters pay rating agencies to help them maximize profit you Dipshit. The shows with more views or listeners can sell ads for more money. If the ratings agencies were giving them inaccurate information then they would make less money so they have a built in incentive to make sure they're getting good information.

Well why don't you guys refuse to buy a car without AM? According to conservative beliefs, free market would take care of this problem. I think they no longer put it in cars cause very few use it.

I test drove a Tesla Model 3. No AM radio, no Sirius. Serious drawbacks as far as I'm concerned. That's all I listen to when driving.
Don't buy it. If there really are enough people listening to AM soon the auto manufacturers will be force to put AM back in their new cars. That is how the free market works. right?

I don't like the newer autos any way I look for good quality used vehicles. The newer autos seem flimsy to me. Manual transmission is preferred.

Forget AM, I'm more disappointed fewer and fewer cars are coming with manual options. If my nephew can't make a start on an incline without rolling back how can I know if he can actually drive?

I don't know if it is true or not but I read somewhere manual transmission vehicles almost never get stolen.

I wouldn't be surprised. Not as many people know how to drive them anymore. I actually have a Tesla and it's been a while seen I owned a manual car and had to drive my brothers STi the other day and I'm embarrassed to say it took me a minute to remember I needed to sink the clutch to even start the damn thing. 😄
