Let's all hope that the Honorable Prime Minister will soon resign and accept responsibility for this worst tragedy since the Holocaust.

Israel now needs a government of moderate leaders who are serious about a fully sovereign (albeit demilitarized) Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza. Right now Israeli settlers are running riot in the West Bank, and the Palestinian Authority is powerless to act.

It will take a determined American president to nudge Israel into such a position. If s/he succeeds, s/he will deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

Once Hamas is destroyed the Israeli people can choose to toss him for the intel failure.....Sorta like the Brits did Churchill months after WW-II ended but it would be unwise to do so while the fighting is still going on.
