Need More Proof the American Economy Is Bad For The Average Citizen?

Pet shelters are overflowing because Americans can't afford pets anymore. They are also missing appointments to spay and neuter the pets they do have because they just can't afford it anymore. After paying high prices for housing, food, and many other things, animals in shelters are low on the totem pole and are taking the hit.
The Washington Post is what it is. It's wrong on this as so much else.

A recent poll showed a whopping 61% of Democrats joining the 93% of Republicans and 85% of independents who say the economy is in bad condition. That means Joe Biden can't hide in his basement in 2024, he will have to hit the campaign trail hard.
He won’t have the stamina to appear at more than one very scripted event per day. Meanwhile, Trump will be flying to five rallies spread all across the country: first one at 8 am, last one at 10 pm.

Humane euthanasia is the way to go, but yeah - Democrats burned the economy down for wealth and power via their CovidScam.

The disastrous introduction of millions of illegals to the picture is just icing on the shitlib Democrat poison cake.

Not sure that it needs to be humane, but having all Democrats euthanized, would solve the country's ills.

The inflation was terrible and affected most Americans. It was shitty. It was bad. It was fucked up.

It was also inevitable, despite what the rubes have been told by the voices they choose to trust. $11 Trillion in stimulus (and we ALL KNOW that we were expected that to be inflationary) + artificially low interest rates + global supply chains collapsing just as demand soared + a Fed that was about a year too late in increasing interest rates to deal with can do that.

That's not the big picture. Here is the big picture...

Overall Economic Activity

On balance, economic activity slowed since the previous report, with four Districts reporting modest growth, two indicating conditions were flat to slightly down, and six noting slight declines in activity.

Labor Markets

Demand for labor continued to ease, as most Districts reported flat to modest increases in overall employment. The majority of Districts reported that more applicants were available, and several noted that retention improved as well.

Prices

Most Districts expect moderate price increases to continue into next year.

==>I don't think the US economy is that bad. Still okay. :)

Seems like buyers remorse, not the economy.

The stimulus didn't cause the inflation. It's not as if we took a normal economy and pumped $11 trillion into it. It replaced lost revenue and wages. The other factors you mentioned had the real effect on inflation.

The stimulus was well and good and is a smart thing to do, when facing a catastrophic recession. Then, when the recession wanes, we raise taxes and build the coffers back up.

In normal world.
