National Debt

Why does it not bother more of you that over 25% of all the Debt this Nation has accumulated in its HISTORY. Has been accumulated in the last 25 Months.

Why are Democrats able to keep laying the blame for this at Republicans Feet, when In fact Democrats have been in control of Congress for that entire time.

When will we all stop playing blame games and realize Both Parties are guilty, and our current direction is leading to bankruptcy?
Think about how much worse it is now. I thought Republicans said if everyone was working that would pay off the debt. I guess not

Despite Strong Economy, Federal Deficit Soars

On January 20, 2009, when Obama was sworn in, the debt was $10.626 trillion. On January 20, 2017, when he left, it was $19.947 trillion. That's about $9.3 trillion in added debt, which averages out over his 8 years to approx $1.16 tril/yr.

By the time Trump's 2nd year is up next month the debt is expected to be north of $22 tril, which is a gain of a bit over $1 tril/yr, which is a tad less than Obama's average. True, Obama had the recession to deal with, which knocks his average down to be just about even with Trump's. But the reality is that the Dems have no moral high ground to bitch about the debt since their record has been no better than Trump's.

The reality is that neither side really has the moral high ground here, and the interest payments on that rising debt is going to really hurt in the coming years. And neither party has the balls to do anything about it.
