Actually we don't have honor killings, all of those are done by muslim men somehow trying to save their family name. Killing their daughter because she became too American, in America, the country they moved to, imagine that.

A guy shoot's a cheating wife isn't doing it for religious reasons. A guy who shoot's his daughter's because they aren't living up to the standards of islam is a whole new story.

A guy finding put his wife is cheating and shooting her in a rage is pretty different from throwing acid on a woman's face because she went to school or went to a store without a male escort. It's far different than killing your daughter because she isn't being muslim enough. There's no correlation in the motive here.

Agreed. And Muslims and lefties frequently try to equate islamic honour killings with crimes of passion. They couldn't be more different. Honour killings are usually planned, often with several members of the aggrieved family. In countries where the perps are likely to face criminal charges, they often choose a male minor to carry out the murder so a lighter sentence will be likely. In many Islamic countries the murderers are barely punished at all as murdering for honour is acceptable. Crimes of passion are completely different, for obvious reasons.

I've lived in a Muslim country and visited others and what you are talking about is new to me .....rape cases in the US are higher than the majority of Muslim countries, same goes for homicide, gum voilence, pedophilia, and list goes on.

Actually we don't have honor killings, all of those are done by muslim men somehow trying to save their family name. Killing their daughter because she became too American, in America, the country they moved to, imagine that.

A guy shoot's a cheating wife isn't doing it for religious reasons. A guy who shoot's his daughter's because they aren't living up to the standards of islam is a whole new story.

A guy finding put his wife is cheating and shooting her in a rage is pretty different from throwing acid on a woman's face because she went to school or went to a store without a male escort. It's far different than killing your daughter because she isn't being muslim enough. There's no correlation in the motive here.

Agreed. And Muslims and lefties frequently try to equate islamic honour killings with crimes of passion. They couldn't be more different. Honour killings are usually planned, often with several members of the aggrieved family. In countries where the perps are likely to face criminal charges, they often choose a male minor to carry out the murder so a lighter sentence will be likely. In many Islamic countries the murderers are barely punished at all as murdering for honour is acceptable. Crimes of passion are completely different, for obvious reasons.
