FBI More People Murdered with Fire Than in Mass Shootings

]According to FBI crime statistics and the bureau's recent study on "active shooter" incidents (ACIs) in the US, far more people are murdered with fire than are killed in mass shootings.
Moreover, the number of people killed each year with "personal weapons," such as "feet" and "fists," nearly eclipses the number of people killed in mass shootings.

On September 24, the FBI released their study on ACIs showing 418 deaths in mass shootings--or "mass killings"--from 2000 to 2013. On paper, that works out to an average of 29.8 murders in mass shootings each year for those 14 years. But FBI crime stats for murder by other means show that the gap between those killed in mass shootings and those killed with more rudimentary weapons is staggering.

For example, the stats show 580 murders committed with fire from 2006 through 2011 alone. That's 162 more murders by fire in six years than the total number of murders via mass shooters for the 14-year period studied by the FBI.

Yeah, right, the analogy is VERY legitimate.
Everybody knows that it's not the weapon that kills, but the person that pulls the trigger. Still it's much easier to ban the weapon than to teach people to be responsible gun users (if I can use such collocation). Plus it would be a better PR move than offering a complex gun program that won't violate our freedom to keep and bear arms and will provide solutions on reducing the number of mass shootings and other crimes.

Yes, there were about 8,000 gun murders last year according to the FBI tables...vs. at least 760,000 times each year where guns are used to save lives and stop violent crime, according to at least 15 separate studies on the subject over period of 19 years...

Hmmmm....8,000 vs. 760,000 and the number could be as high as 3 million times a year and the most detailed of the 15 studies put the number at 2.5 million times a year...

You guys always gloss over those numbers....all gun uses...the leading cause of saving lives from violent criminals every year...

No they wont Bill......we are dealing with serious thought process disorder with these types. Its a connect the dots issue.....psychiatrists speak to serotonin issues. Uptake is problematic, thus, the connect the dots issues. Remedied only via pharmacological aid. Facts will never matter to these types......seriously......its a brain pathology thing. I work in the field so I see it all the time.
