Mr. Romney Reinvents History

Obama says Republicans in Congress won't name one tax exemption they want to repeal

President Barack Obama said a budget proposed by House Republicans lacked "a shred of credibility," especially when it came to tax cuts.

Obama said their budget includes $4.6 trillion in lower taxes over the next 10 years, with no way to pay for them.

"We’re told that these tax cuts will supposedly be paid for by closing loopholes and eliminating wasteful deductions," Obama said. "But the Republicans in Congress refuse to list a single tax loophole they are willing to close. Not one."

How much debt has Obama created that wasn't a direct or indirect result of George W. Bush actions and policies?

Obumer has added 50% to our deficit since his first day in orfice.

Apparently you libs forget he promised to cut 50% from the deficit in his 2008 promises.

Yes, retard, but how much of it did Obama create? Please be specific with credible facts...

He was already about $1.3 trillion in the hole on the day he was sworn in - thanks to Bush.

Mitt Romney wrapped the most important speech of his life, for Thursday night’s session of his convention, around an extraordinary reinvention of history — that his party rallied behind President Obama when he won in 2008, hoping that he would succeed. “That president was not the choice of our party,” he said. “We are a good and generous people who are united by so much more than divides us.”

The truth, rarely heard this week in Tampa, Fla., is that the Republicans charted a course of denial and obstruction from the day Mr. Obama was inaugurated, determined to deny him a second term by denying him any achievement, no matter the cost to the economy or American security — even if it meant holding the nation’s credit rating hostage to a narrow partisan agenda.

Interesting graph you have there from, yet again, another opinion piece. What a surprise. I notice that the money Obama spent under tarp is on the wrong side. The OBAMA tax cuts are on the wrong side. His continued AND EXPANDED wars are not present at all or on the wrong side. Entire programs are missing….

Oh never mind, you are too much of a hack to even understand what you are looking at.

it's what he promise moron of infinite proportions.
he added 50% to our deficit and you go back to party lines...bullshiite.

I quess you will go down with ship in your own party but DON"T bring the rest of us down in your gutter. learn to live with mistakes and move on dumass.

Here's the facts.

They do not jibe with the basic belief system of our right wing chums.

• In the 2009 fiscal year — the last of George W. Bush’s presidency — federal spending rose by 17.9% from $2.98 trillion to $3.52 trillion. Check the official numbers at the Office of Management and Budget.

• In fiscal 2010 — the first budget under Obama — spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.

• In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.

• In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.

• Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. Read the CBO’s latest budget outlook.

Over Obama’s four budget years, federal spending is on track to rise from $3.52 trillion to $3.58 trillion, an annualized increase of just 0.4%.

There has been no huge increase in spending under the current president, despite what you hear.

I was reading a interesting article suggesting the Romney campaign does not mind stretching the truth as they know 48% will vote Obama and the other 48% will vote Romney. As to say they feel stretching the truth will only effect the 2-4% that are truly undecided. Makes sense I guess. But this is the state of politics.

Sure would like to see the Democrats stay on point, stop the fibbing and lay out some dead serious ideas to move us forward. Obama stands a chance of really gaining ground if he can not sell the same fluff the GOP just regurgitated.

Ernie, I know you wingnuts hate facts and truth - but I happen to really like facts and truth.

You retarded assholes just want to make shit up as you go.

Name just ONE significant thing that House and Senate Republicans did to help Obama on legislation important to average Americans.

yeah facts, like some OPONION piece from the Nyslimes is facts...too bad the majority of the people know the real facts, that's why you are in that 43% minority who still support Obama

That is an interesting question. According to what I read here from rethugs., the slate was wiped clean when Obama was elected and now everything is on him.

Don't know how they figure that, but they do.

And they sure as hell are not going to answer a question that hard. Cause they can't and stick with their core belief that nothing George Bush did is effecting the country today.
It is all Obama's fault. Right rethugs?

Not our fault Obama promised to turn thing around in his first term AND DIDN'T
Now he needs to go like he said he should if he didn't keep that promise..

It's not our fault that obama took advantage of an economic crisis to enrich his friends. obama is the fireman who shows up to put out a fire and instead throws kerosene on the flames.

Hold him accountable folks
