What I most remember of the King Kong movie I saw in the 40's when I was 8 years old was the scene with Fay Wray laying on the ground at the entrance to Kong's cave. The monkey put his big hand down playfully to touch Wray and his finger caught Wray's dress and tore it. And what should appear to my wondering eyes but a boob. Yep, a real boob fell right out of her dress . I could not believe it. Kong was playing on a double feature bill with a stupid gangster movie which I watch a second time just see the boob. I told my friends and the whole gang went see the boob the next day. The word got around the school but by then a different movie was playing. Well, about 50 years latter I saw the movie and the boob scene was gone.

Kong was made in 1933, the year before the Hays Commission and movie censoring started. So i guess the copy of the film I saw as a kid got past the censors. However they probably found all the offending copies and destroyed them before censoring ended in 1966.

I know this is a bit off topic but I thought it might be interesting.
