This is an urbanization crime-fighting vigilante tale inspired by the modernism-macabre films Sin City and The Crow.

A terrible crime syndicate arose in Moscow, working against the Russian mafia and emerging in a post-USSR climate of economic challenges and unemployment issued among the pedestrian masses. This syndicate was known as Weapons, since they used nefarious tactics to kill cops trying to crack down on them. Weapons was led by a evil and disfigured devil named Jigsaw who blamed humanity for his poorly-stitched face (only semi-healed after a rival gang-member slashed it in 9 different ways with a razor). Jigsaw ordered his Weapons minions to use hacksaws to saw off heads (of cops!), hammers to break legs, ice-picks to gouge out eyes, scissors to cut out hears, and even a sabre to split female cops in half!
Weapons was so darn sinister that the Russian masses cried out to God in dismay, so a mighty vigilante arose from the populace to take down Jigsaw --- Frank Castle. Castle was an ex-CIA operative (only 27 years-old) prowling around Moscow (originally only for booze), and when he heard of the 'feats' of Weapons/Jigsaw, Castle decided to transform himself into the blade-and-pistol carrying 'super-vigilante' named The Punisher. Punisher proceeded to hunt down the minions of Weapons, using tear-gas to disorient them and then decapitating them with his blade or shooting them in the right-eye (to warn Jigsaw he was coming!). Punisher was a real 'daredevil,' and Russians wondered if he was the Messiah!
Punisher finally confronted Jigsaw himself (in his ghoulish secret warehouse-lair). Punisher burst in, took out his guards with his new rapid-fire gun, and then ran up to the Weapons mastermind to ask him one question, "What kind of a devil would order his minions to split female cops in half simply for power and fear?" Jigsaw was shocked and disarmed and could only reply, "My soul is disfigured, so do with me what you will, 'Mr. Messiah'!" Jigsaw then decapitated Jigsaw and delivered his head to the Moscow police. Years later, Punisher sent an anonymous note to the Moscow Gazette in which he stated, "Russian software imagineers should design an imaginative crime-fighting video-game for Moscow's youth --- one that involves daring vigilantes burning down the houses of syndicated devils." Punisher was remembered as the 'answer to capitalism's woes.'
