Mitt's in deep doo-doo

5 wins out of 10 states, and coming second in several of those he didn't take.... I'm not really seeing how this thread title is holding up to reality.

Im expecting 6 out of 10 by the end of the night.

Alaska will be a split, no real winner.

Today did prove that Gingrich is competetive only in a few states in the South East.

Even if he doesnt drop out, people will diminish giving money to his campaign.

Perhaps that can solidify the not Romney vote: ie the confident conservative vote.

You prove just how stupid you are over and over. You are a FUCKING LAWYER and know exactly how our Government works. One man elected President can not suddenly make this Country a theocracy.

Two words: judicial appointments.

It wouldn’t lead to a ‘theocracy’ but a republican president appointing radical rightist ideologues to the Federal courts – and indeed justices to the Supreme Court – could seriously undermine and erode our civil liberties and expand government authority into our private lives. The rights to privacy, due process, and equal protection of the law could be seriously curtailed, along with the abandonment of the rule of law, where citizens’ rights would be subject to majority rule.

again, given how hard it is for any one judge to move the other eight, this is mostly a bugaboo you frighten yourself with that has no basis anywhere.

And again, assuming that conservatives actualy want this.

Your reasoning failure seems to be that since you believe Conservatives to be stupid therefore they want a nut ball iranian style goofball theo state. This fear has no basis in reality, but is entirrely the fault of you eating too many anchovy pizzas.

Assuming this to be true, you then assume that one or two judges will matter. Regan and Bush appointed five. How far did they move the ball? Then there is the little matter of seante confirmation.

To reiterate, no one but a few random nut balls wants what you think we want, and even if we were stupid enough to want it, the proces makes it impossible to get.

Careful, you might get in trouble for throwing facts at her... you could hurt her like that ;)

CC Jones appears to be male; is this an insult or "insider trading" ; ) I think Sky is female but have seen Sky referred to as male. It is confusing as to which poster you are responding to.

Things look very good for Mitt.

To win the nomination. Yes.

Frankly, there really isn't much surprise here. We knew all along it was going to be Obama v. Romney.

It's what it's taking to Get Romney to his inevitable beatdown that's sort of distressing.

Gingrich and Santorum are has-beens. They were guys who were run out of Congress and a year ago, I didn't give them a second thought. Neither did most people.

Now they are viable because they are "not Romney".

Romney will bully his way to the nomination, but it'll be a parade no one will follow and Obama will beat him pretty handily.

Just look at Ohio. Santorum took every rural conservative inch of the state. Romney pulled down the big city liberal base. Pretty much the same in Michigan. Romney's a total lockout in the South. Wonder what Palin's up to these days?

Romney is going to be the nominee. Mitt Romney won more than twice as many delegates on Super Tuesday as Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum. There is no amount of "spin" that can characterize this as anything but a huge victory.

Probability does not equal inevitability.

You being a Romnulan, I dont expect you to be able to understand this fact.

Everything hinges on whether Gingrich stays in or bows out soon, at latest before the Texas primary.

If he does not then Romney likely wins, if he does bow out, then my bet would be on Santorum.

My impression is that one should never bet against Gingriches ego winning in the end.
