I happen to know that a select fire M16A2 is out there somewhere after an Army NCO left it in his truck years ago back in 2014. Granted the fact that it was against policy to issue the weapon in the manner it was done in, and the fact that the clown left it in his fuckin UNLOCKED truck at all wasn't egregious enough, I don't think anyone faced charges over it. Now I had been issued and carried weapons for the same team on several occasions at the same time, locked them up in my vault and didn't leave my house until I had them back in the Army vaults after competitions and training because my ass woulda went to prison if I lost the shit I was carrying.
