This is like the Trump Administration putting out a report that says that refugees use billions of dollars in public services, costing the taxpaers $X billions of dollars, while neglecting to mention that these same immigrants are contributing billions more than what they're receiving in government services, and are in fact contribution far more in taxes than they're using in services, incluing public education. When you're trying to gin up outrage against immigration policies, it doesn't help your argument that taxpayers are immigrants aren't the "takers" that you've portrayed them to be.

What makes Miss Michigan's post racist are the omissions that most murderers are committed by someone of the same race as the victim, and this fact is not unique to the black community. Without the comparison, the statement implies that this is only true of blacks, making it a "lie by omission".

Then to further say that black on black murder is the responsibility of the black community and they need to solve their own problems, is just a flat out racist lie. High rates of violent crimes in all communities are a function of poverty, and lack of economic opportunity across a broad swath of the population. Violent crime rates in white rural America have now surpassed violent crime rates in most inner city neighbourhoods. But I don't hear conservatives saying that crime in rural America is because whites are "lazy thugs".

Although we can say you were right by accident because by definition black on black crime is a problem that only appears in the black community because that's the only place blacks interact with one another, by and large.

Illegals pay 15% withholding taxes like everyone else, but cannot apply for government funded health insurance or SS. And they contribute generally to the economy through their labour being added to GDP and the jobs created by their consumer spending.

I have seen studies that say that even illegals contribute more to the economy then they take out in government services. The Federal government on both sides of the political aisle has used their withholding tax to prop up Social Security and Medicare, since Bush Sr. was in office.

If you could wave a magic wand and all illegal immigrants disappeared overnight, US GDP would contract by 10% and the number of job vacancies in America would go from 7 million to 15 million. Given that there are only 4 million people looking for work now, this is going to create huge problems for employers.

Of course many of these low end service jobs won’t need to be replaced because there would be 11 million people no longer buying consumer goods and services in communities all over America.
