Minnesota Governor Tim Walz Signs Bill Legalizing Abortions Up to Birth

Murder and manslaughter laws have nothing to do with what they said. But you know that.
Please exit yourself from this conversation, you fucking idiot.

If you don’t know that murder laws already exist to protect the born, then go play with crayons if you can stop yourself from eating them long enough.

The born are protected. The unborn should be too. Saying we “don’t care” about those who are already protected and will remain so and no one says it should be otherwise is fundamentally dishonest and stupid, which is why you are doing it.

Why do you obsess over late term abortions when they hardly ever happen?

And let's face it the anti abortion people don't want a woman to be able to terminate a pregnancy at any time so of course the knee jerk reactionary response is 100% unrestricted abortion and neither side will actually compromise because it will be considered a loss if they make any concessions or compromises.

Why do dems obsess over them, in particular when most people who want restrictions on late term abortions are OK with exceptions for the LIFE of the mother.

That's the hard core pro-lifers. Then you have people like me who are OK with 15 weeks or so as a limit for elective abortions with exceptions for the life of the mother after that.

The thing is the only compromise so far is coming from the restrictions side, the abortion rights people are all or nothing right now.

We had a nationwide ban.

Laws that allow abortions at any time are pretty rare.

Because not having them kills women, when those women are unable to get medically necessary late-term abortions.

The majority of the restriction laws have life of the mother exceptions, and in the 3rd trimester just birthing/c-sectioning the infant almost always removes the risk to the mother's life.

In the third trimester there is never a reason to kill the fetus to protect the life of the mother. In some instances the fetus may not survive but it's not because it was intentionally killed.

They will then bring up stillbirths, but again most restriction laws cover that.

And antiabortion people aren't?

3rd trimester abortions are exceedingly rare

And antiabortion people aren't?

Where do I fall on the spectrum?

No elective abortions after 15 or 16 weeks
exception only for the life of the mother after that (rape and incest is covered with the 15-16 week limit)
No government funding of elective abortions
Insurances can be made to cover medical abortions
Notification to parents for abortions given to girls under 18

You are an outlier

Well you say he is obsessed, yet you still keep coming back to the topic time and time and time again.

But of course late term abortions hardly ever happen because up until recently even pro abortionists agreed they shouldn't be done latenterm. But recently they have started making the argument they should be allowed and Minnesota very recently allowed them.

Yes I do to point out the fact that antiabortionists are obsessing over the exception rather than the rule.

Even if late term abortions are legal the facts are that 93% of all abortions occur before week 13 and 63% of those occur before week 9

less than 1% of all abortions have ever taken place after 21 weeks

What is The Satanic Temple?

The mission of The Satanic Temple is to encourage benevolence and empathy, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practical common sense, oppose injustice, and undertake noble pursuits.
Consistent with TST’s tenets that call for bodily autonomy and acting in accordance with best scientific evidence, The Satanic Temple religiously objects to many of the restrictions that states have enacted that interfere with abortion access.
TST is taking many steps on behalf of our members and those who share our beliefs to promote reproductive rights. This includes working to establish exemptions from laws that do not promote the health and safety of patients and violate our conscience and beliefs, as well as making legal abortion more accessible through TST Health services.

What is an abortion ritual?

The Abortion Ritual serves as a protective rite. Its purpose is to cast off unwanted feelings that a patient may be experiencing due to choosing to have a legal and medically safe abortion. This ritual is designed to alleviate stressors and empower the patient to be guided by The Satanic Temple's Third and Fifth Tenets when pursuing their decision. The ritual serves to assist in affirming their decision and to ward off the effects of unjust persecution, which can cause one to stray from the paths of scientific reasoning and free will that TST Members strive to embody.
The ritual consists solely of spoken words. TST’s abortion ritual is exclusively verbal. It is meant to provide vocal affirmation and comfort for those obtaining an abortion. The oral ritual includes the recitation of The Satanic Temple's Third and Fifth tenets.
