Yep, that's likely if the Farm Bill isn't passed.

The Senate passed it, then the House Agriculture Committee added some GOP favorite items like drastic cuts in food stamps. From Committee, it went to the full House where.....it languished until the House went home for Christmas.

Milk prices may double in the New Year - Dec. 21, 2012

So, when you go to the store and find milk priced at about twice what it is now, and pay extra for every product with milk in it, you'll know who to thank.

Good job, Team Boehner! You've screwed us all once again!

I get mine from the bulk tank still, but I suppose that will get me thrown in jail soon enough.

$7 milk would drastically reduce consumption. The market would eventually balance itself out.

Bullshit. Milk will get cheaper if the farm boondoggle isn't passed. The whole point of the bill is to keep milk prices up, not lower them.

Yes, it's amazing what suckers the American people are. Some are so stupid that they actually believe that ending a program designed to keep milk prices up would cause them to increase.

More people would produce milk and the price would drop.
It is the way of farming.
