Military Braggarts

The initial reason to send Troops to VietNam was invented by LBJ with his fake "Tonkin Gulf Crisis" that did not exist. The plight of free sovereign nation and an ally of the US which was invaded by a communist hoard was a legitimate concern. Too bad a crooked democrat administration was more concerned with it's left wing base than the safety of American Troops. LBJ set the rules so that the US might win every battle but still lose the war. The ironic thing was that LBJ's lame tactic to wear down an enemy that had been fighting for a thousand years might have actually worked after the VC's last gasp of the tet offensive but Walter Cronkite rushed to VietNam after the incredible US victory and pronounced Tet to be a defeat for US Forces. LBJ quit the campaign on TV and and told America that he had enough and would not be running again. The V.C. correctly determined that LBJ surrendered and democrats snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
