Yesterday on the View, liberal thnker Behar made the following observation "Behar: "You've really done a lot, I think. You've signed 200 plus laws since you're in office, financial reform has taken place, you've got health care, two women on the supreme court...and yet the right wing, through Fox News and other outlets, seem to be hijacking the narrative. where on your side is the narrative? Where is your attack dog to come out and tell the American people, listen, this is what we did?"

Is that really why Democrats are in trouble this November? I mean she's right, Obama got his Stimulus Bill, he got Healthcare, he got Financial reform. His approval rate isn't at 41% because of his inability to get things done. Is it true than, that one news organization, and a handful of talk show hosts have "hijacked" the narrative? Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Obama have all put forth the argument, "once the people get to know what's in the bill, they'll like it." It's simply a lack of communication.

Do democrats really believe that?

The real problem is that Obama sold himself as a post-partisan, post-racial, bipartisan uniter who would Rise Above Politics As Usual and Bless The Great Compromises.

He fooled enough Independents and Moderates into voting for him, despite evidence that he is a far leftie.

His record of "accomplishments" appeals to the hard core leftwing base, and appall the Independents and Moderates who supported him.

It is a communication problem, just not what the White House thinks it is. The problem is that he lied through his teeth during the campaign, and now millions of people grok that fact.
