Sorry bout that,
1. The reason some one goes on the internet and attacks Christians are simple, either you are a flaming crazy eyed muzzy, or you feel God has passed you by.
2. Meaning you feel let down.
3. Abandoned.
4. Left out to dry.
5. Am I right?
6. Some one of your stature in life didn't get there without some help from God.
7. Lets cut the crap Campbell.

God passed me by!!!!!
Which one
As we speak if the south sea islands are included there are more than 4,000 ancient gods being worshipped. Add to that the more than 44,000 denominations, conventions, sects, cults, sub cults etc. of the Christian faith and what we have here is a major clusterphuck including anything and everything mankind can dream up to get their hands in your pockets and some degree of control over your life. Screw all of them.
It is possible to be religious without being a jerk ass. Most folks can handle this. There are a few that can't, but they are the subject of comedy.
It is also possible to be irreligious and not be a jerk ass. Something the OP finds impossible.
I like to celebrate Isaac Newton's birthday on the 25th of December. I like being polite and civil to my neighbors who are having their own celebrations. Their celebration and my celebration don't conflict. I get a holiday. And all the decorations around the neighborhood are pretty. Some of them are goofy and fun.
I don't see what the OP gets out of being such a kill joy. His attitude also makes me doubt he is any 77. His maturity level is that of primary school.
I can see why you can't see.
Like I said....as long as I see one goddam thing which is the product of worshipping an ancient god...no matter whose it is I'll be ranting and raving. Get Used To It!!
I don't care who your god is...keep that bullshit to yourselves.

uh, are you NOT the one that went to a RELIGIOUS forum and posted in a RELIGION section that is reserved for comments about RELIGION.
Seems to me they were trying to keep it to themselves and then YOU inserted yourself in the middle....
That stinks of hypocrisy...

Religions all originated during the stone age and came from the developing imagination of ignorant primitives who believed in witchcraft and thought the earth was flat. Only those who have been brainwashed as infants and small children or who are extremely naive fail to understand that.
So you actually saw God and spoke with Him?1. Some of us have actually, *have*, had an encounter with God.

And that hate has nothing to do with the statement. Try reading it again, slowly....

I'd sooner believe the kooks who say they were taken through a worm hole to an alien planet and given a physical.
I'm still wanting to know who that mystery writer was.........the one who stood there by the burning bush and watched and heard Moses and GAWD doing their thing. The five books of the old testament which were allegedly written my Moses are in fact mostly written in third person.

Actually, the first 5 books of the OT are what is traditionally called the Torah by the Jews, and it's author is supposed to be God, who gave it to Moshe (Moses) at Sinai.
As far as the rest? The Jews kept their religion pretty good until Jerusalem took over Rome and the Romans made the Jews translate the Torah into Greek (see Septuegent).
The pagan mixing came back when they took the copies of the Torah back to Rome and tried to sell the religion to the pagans that were inhabiting Rome.
Over the years, commercialism came into place, and that's when Santa legends started to fly around, and the season became one about greed.
