McConnell says Trump cost Republicans because he makes Republicans look nasty and “chaotic,” which is a nice way of saying “crazy.”

Yeah, no kidding.

McConnell also blamed Trump for tarnishing the party’s image among crucial independent and swing voters, who rejected GOP Senate contenders in the states that decided the majority. He said that the party underperformed in “every state” — including the red state of Ohio, which Republicans narrowly won — and that its performance was “fatal” in Arizona, New Hampshire and Georgia.

“We lost support that we needed among independents and moderate Republicans, primarily related to the view they had of us as a party — largely made by the former president — that we were sort of nasty and tended toward chaos,” McConnell said. “And oddly enough, even though that subset of voters did not approve of President Biden, they didn’t have enough confidence in us in several instances to give us the majority we needed.”

The Republican Party created and enabled Donald Trump by failing to embrace Traditionalist Conservatism and believing they could actually win as a Centrist/Moderate, Quasi-Democrat party.

Many of us hoped the Trump presidency would shake the party back to its roots. That hasn’t happened. The party has now fractured into Centrist-Liberals and Trump Clowns. Until something changes in the core of the party, they are doomed to failure.,

McConnell is the fish rotting from his RINO head down. He was the problem.

Every single election-denying MAGA Trump-endorsed candidate in the swing states bar one lost in November. One out of 18 won. And that's because RonJohn was running against a defund the police far leftist. Had the Dems run a reasonably normal candidate in WI, they would have won.

As McConnell rightly points out in that article, every single Trump-endorsed MAGA election-denying candidate underperformed even if they won. And all the Trump-endorsed MAGA election-denying gubernatorial candidates either lost or got completely hammered.

So you can live in your alternative reality MAGA media echo chamber bubble because precious snowflake. Or you can get out in the real world, nominate some reasonably normal Republicans, and win for a change.

Progs are now verifiable socialists. Not Democrats anymore. This is alarming. Too much pettiness in this nation and to many people work with others who are not that good and get aid the same. So as the socialism gets worse why would anyone continue to be excellent compared to those not so good.
