IN A WIDE-RANGING INTERVIEW aboard his campaign plane this morning, John McCain said that he is open to choosing a pro-choice running mate and named former Pennsylvania governor Tom Ridge as someone who merits serious consideration despite his support for abortion rights.

The more I see McCain pandering to this special interest or that, the more I see him changing from former positions to news one, the more I think he stands for nothing in particular.

McCain's main reason for wanting Ridge is because it will give him a boost in Pennsylvania, which is looking to be this year's Ohio.
