Socialism ain't about federal programs and welfare, it's about taking away freedom and independence.

What’s amazing is how you and others like you have managed to convince yourself the ignorant bullshit you post is true.If one believes socialism is not that bad instead of trying to make America into a socialist country why not move to one that already is socialist? If that truly is the type of country and government you wish to live in that would be much easier than trying to change America into one.
America is socialist and has been for a long time . Maybe you should leave ?
It amazes me how Cons can bend themselves into a pretzel to justify how their socialism ISNT socialism.
I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .
U.S. farmers receive $7.7 billion in trade aid to date: USDA
The administration of President Donald Trump has pledged up to $12 billion in aid to help offset losses for crops hit by retaliatory Chinese tariffs imposed in response to Washington’s tariffs on Chinese goods.
It doesn't hurt as much as having a piece of metal screwed to your bones.Passing a kidney stone is not all that bad compared to some other stuff....but the list of stuff is very short.
Actually it is very long but you still make a damn good point...
I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

You do know the Farm subsidies aid big farms in this country, so it is like another corporate welfare...
That's horseshit. As if people wouldn't continue to grow food in this country for some reason.I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

Farming is National Security related. ALL Countries subsidize farming.
It is the one Industry we just can't do without. It is a Public Trust. Society can not exist without it therefore, Government must take steps to protect it.
Just like we have an Army, Navy and Air Force, we also must have a healthy and vibrant farming industry.
I wouldn't expect stoopid people to understand this.

Have you analyzed to see which farmers receive the lions share of that or are you just painting with a broad brush?
In other words how much of that goes to the large corporate farmers who don't even know how to drive much less start a tractor or combine?
In addition... How much of that money is slated to food subsidies for the poor?
*****SMILE*****

working the back end through subsidies is better than a trade war, any time; right, chics.I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

That is why protesters are being shot at and trucks carrying food supplies for the starving people in Venezuela were set of fire by the oppressive leader. That defines socialism. Always good at first but, without capitalism, the money runs out because no more wealth is being created. Then you have total misery. Learn history before supporting socialism.
Hitler was a foriegn enemy. British farmers didn't stop trying to grow food. The same goes for the war on Japan. We used forced to cutoff their food supply. Force is what it took to reduce their food supply, not a lack of government subsidies. That's horseshit. As if people wouldn't continue to grow food in this country for some reason.I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

You have no idea of what you speak. Why don't you study it for a while then come back and amend your dumbass post.
Hitler very nearly defeated Britain by just stopping the flow of food from the US.
We crippled the Japanese by cutting off their food supply.
The oldest and best way to win a War since the beginning of Time has ALWAYS been to stop or to control your adversary's food supply.
You kinda lose your will to fight when you're starving.
Scientific fact.
Hitler was a foriegn enemy. British farmers didn't stop trying to grow food. The same goes for the war on Japan. We used forced to cutoff their food supply. Force is what it took to reduce their food supply, not a lack of government subsidies.
What you're claiming is that farmers will stop growing food if the government doesn't subsidies it. That's obvious horseshit.
Apparently you believe we all starved before the government started subsidizing agriculture. I've checked, and that just isn't the case. If could get along without subsidies before the Roosevelt administration, the why can't be get along without them after the Roosevelt administration.Hitler was a foriegn enemy. British farmers didn't stop trying to grow food. The same goes for the war on Japan. We used forced to cutoff their food supply. You and I agree 99 times out of a 100 but let me tell -- You're way off-base on this topic.
Farming is a National Security issue. Without it, we cease to exist as a Country.
And nobody really wants to Farm all that much. It's hard work, the chances of losing everything you own can swing on the weather, you have to invest millions of dollars in equipment, labor is very nearly impossible to find and your children will leave the Farm as soon as they're old enough. Just about every time.
Now, with that said......... Are there Farmers getting rich off government subsidies? Oh, HELL YES!
But it's like catching dolphins in a shrimp net. You can't prevent certain negatives. You just can't do it. People will always find a way to 'work' the system and that's built-in. We know that.
But overall, Farming subsidies are a must.
Haven't you read about how 'Rural America is The New Inner City'? Are you not aware of the devastation of the Heart Land?
Unbridled Capitalism isn't the answer to everything all the time. That's almost as bad as libertarianism and you don't want to know what I think of libertarians.
At least communists believe in something

And that's on top of the regular farm bill.I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

Farms no longer create jobs in any real sense.I’m sure that’s what conservatives tell themselves when they hook up the farmer lobby .

Farmers create jobs and grow food....they don't sit on their ass and watch Oprah all day....

Motte and Bailey fallacies are annoying
