I think the intent is to show how great it is for kids to transition, but a lot of it comes off as exactly what non-liberals think it is: rather creepy adults taking advantage of mixed up kids.

There is a 12 year old male who identifies as a girl, and whose stage mother pushes to write a book so they can go to DC for a book tour. The kid is at the rebelious stage that often starts at that age, and is rebeling, not so much against being trans, but against having to work as a traveling performer at the behest of mom.

Dad is weak and marginalized, basically part of mom's enterouge, as is "Avery." When "Avery" started acting like a boy, mom explained that she has a daughter who is a transgirl who happens to be a tomboy. Follow?

The fact that Avery has been on puberty blockers means that he is passable as a girl for now, though having to wear a two piece swimsuit with a skirt.

There is a girl about ten or eleven who gets her first puberty blocker shot at the very beginning. The syringe is very large, as she is warned before hand. The shot is painful, having so much liquid that it must be slowly injected. The doctor or nurse giving the injection says, "this is what's going to help you," as the girl fights the tears.

"He" is dating a girl who is supposedly unaware that "he" is female. The girls mom finds out and doesn't want her daughter to have anything to do with "him." Mom is either a horrible bigot or is just aware of the mental health stats on trans folk.

No dad in the picture.

There is a boy who is six or seven whose mom is a member of an absurd woke church. She forced him to get up and say that he is a girl and wear dresses. By the end, he is wearing the most male clothes he can, and mom reluctantly allows him to do so. Letting your kids "express their gender," is apparently only important if they identify as the opposite of their biology.

Dad is weak and marginalized.

And,

There is a fifteen year old male who wants to be accepted as a real girl named "Leena." Leena buys a bikini, with her weakling dad looking on and discouraging "her" from getting a suit that is too revealing, protective dad that he is. Doesn't matter, mom is in charge of course.

Leena is dating a boy who is very accepting of her being trans. That boy turns out to be gay by the end of the movie. Leena is surprised, but I doubt any viewer is.

A transgirl would make the ideal beard for a closet gay, which I suspect is the main motivation for liberal men to support the transgenderization movement.

.

And this, or worse, is what awaits them, as well as any other person in a child's life that grooms them for this.
