Marijuana likely to be legalized in 5 more states this November

In California, a post-debate SurveyUSA poll of 751 likely voters found that Proposition 64, which would legalize, tax and regulate the sale of recreational marijuana, is supported by 52 percent of the electorate and opposed by 41 percent, with 6 percent undecided. This is a lower margin than some other recent polls there, which have pegged support at 60 percent or more.

These propositions and many like them often come and go in California. They never change a damn thing.

We don't lock people up for getting drunk. Now, drink and get behind the wheel, fuck you. Smoke weed and get behind the wheel, fuck you too.

You could not be more wrong. Take one or two drinks and venture into the open public and see just how many crimes they can tag you with, if you are so unfortunate to run into the police.

It has nothing to do with DUI.

A poll fielded last week of 500 likely voters in Nevada found the legalization measure there leading with 57 percent support, compared to 33 percent opposing it. That number is sharply at odds with a Review-Journal survey of 800 likely voters, fielded at the exact same time, which found the legalization measure leading by just 1 percentage point, well within the margin of error.

Just wanted to chime in here...the Review Journal is a fucking joke, and should be totally ignored. When they ran a negative article about billionaire Sheldon Adelson, multiple casino owner, he decided to BUY the Review Journal so that they couldn't do that anymore. It's a hack publication now, and he's firmly against marijuana, mostly because his son died of a drug overdose (which is understandable.) He's also a major Trump supporter, and in fact, donated an incredible $25 million to the Trump campaign.

Not that understandable, since cannabis is neither a drug nor possible to overdose on.

Understandable in the sense that people tend to be irrational and emotional when family members die from drugs. They lump all drugs in the "bad" category.

I voted against 64. I voted against all the initiatives. I voted against condoms for porn stars.

Sadly my older neighbor confided that she is a pothead, drug addict. I did not know. She hid it. I had to tell her that the rides to the grocery store and doctor were over. She can crawl as far as I'm concerned.

Even in nature Gorillas find water that is trapped in a tree trunk where some plant material has fallen in and fermented and the Gorillas purposely drink it to get drunk. And they have a good time. A person with an addictive chemical bent should stay away from alcoohol, and mj, and other druge including caffeine and chocolate (snicker(s)). For everyone else a little recreation never hurt anyone.

Trying to get rid of the last tiny handful of redeeming qualities you have left I see

Right because why be a human being when you can be a judge.

Freedom baby !

We have the question here in mass . It's always law enforcement coming out against it . Because weed is a gateway excuse for cops to hassle people .

She's a small, wretched creature. Has been as long as I've seen her post here.

I've been wondering though how this plays out in say Colorado where it's legalized. If you live in an apartment and light up with a window open the second-hand smoke finds it's way to other apartments and with mj you can get a contact high rather easily. I haven't seen any news reports of problems but eh.

The dream of every pot smoker though, toking on a joint and a cop walks up and says what are you doing? Just exercising my new rights, sir! And I'm one toke over the line sweet Jesus.

Well how wonderful for slacker potheads!!!

Congratulations guys!!

Judge where you are supposed to judge. Your own behavior.

You contradict yourself by judging your neighbor.

I didn't judge my neighbor. I judged that it would be wrong of me to continue to give her a ride. It would be. Not only wrong but quite hypocritical.

It is just a matter of time before it is legalized nationally. It is far less harmful than alcohol and it doesn't cause anyone to get violent. To the contrary you laugh uncontrollably if a fly lands on your knee.
The Trump Administration along with the republican congress will invoke federal law against these states and start arresting dope sellers.
Yeah, because they are for small government, state's rights, and individual liberty...

Hy if it makes the american rat race more to!erable then treat it like alcohol...and make it legal. Won't affect worker productivity if used correctly. Just like alcohol.
