Man accidentally shot while trying to purchase pistol

Here are the stats on some common types of death....it would be better to start a crusade to teach people how to walk upright...and save them from falling deaths...you would save more lives.....

guns, drowning and poisoning....

If you cared about people....you would push to ban the following...

Then by year accidental gun deaths going down according to CDC final statistics table 10 from 2010-2013...

2010...606
2011...591
2012...548
2013...505

So...accidental gun deaths have been coming down as more people own and carry guns for self defense....now 12.8 million people actually carry guns for self defense......on their person, and the accidental gun death rate is going down, not up....

Police were called to a local hospital to a reported accidental shooting. The 75-year-old man with the gunshot wound told them he was trying to purchase a Jennings model J-22 pistol from a Piedmont man at Poor Man’s Trade Day. When the gun seller was showing him how to load it, the seller racked the slide and allowed it to go forward and the gun fired, shooting the potential buyer in the left leg just below the hip joint. The man who accidentally fired the gun was at the hospital checking on the victim when police made the report.

More guns is the answer? Really?

Yeah brain.....with 320 million people in the country, and over 320 million guns in private hands, and over 90 million homes with guns in them.....and over 12.8 million people actually carrying guns every day for self defense...

Accidental gun deaths in 2013...........505

Guns used for self defense on average each year in America to stop or prevent violent crime and save lives...

2 million times a year....

Guns are also the most effective way for a woman to stop a rapist......

So gun accidents are sad and tragic, but considering the death rates from cars, falling, poisons, and drowning each year....they are not a problem.......

American people are amazingly responsible with their guns as the stats above show.....

And another thing....as more Americans own and carry guns, our gun accident rate has been going down, not up.....as is our gun murder rate....

And what we need.....gun safety training alongside fire safety training in schools...that would lower the gun accident rate even more....

dumb post brain....

Where are you getting 90 million? That's almost every household in the country. Stop lying.

Yes only 500 lives, a huge tragedy if terrorists killed that many. 500 more than any country in Europe. Why do you value life so little?

I value life a lot....the lives of the 2 million American's who use guns to stop violent crime....far outweigh accidents that only happen 505 times a year........

90 million, got it somewhere a while ago......and no, I am not looking it up.

500 more than any country in Europe.

Did you see my latest post on Sweden...the rape capital of Europe......their ethnic gangs are not only using guns to murder each other and Swedish citizens...they are also using grenades like confetti.........another cultural difference.....

You are comparing things used daily by most of the population to something a minority owns and almost nobody ever needs to use. Why do you not want to lower accidental firearm deaths? Oh you only care about things that sell more guns. No care for 500 lives.

2 million is a made up number supported by nothing in reality. Not even mathematically possible.

So you prefer to lie and use false numbers. There are only about 115 million households and a minority of those have firearms. 37% according to pew. Far short of your imaginary 90 million. But most your arguments now use imaginary numbers.

A minority of Americans own guns but just how many is unclear Pew Research Center
