Majority Of Americans Say Their Financial Situation Hasn't Changed Since Trump Took Office

`
It depends on how one manages their investments/portfolio, presidents notwithstanding.
Right now with my Dividend Reinvestments, while the market is down, I am buying a ton more stocks, than I could while the market was higher...When it goes back up, I will probably double my money..

If you were doing so great financially then why in Hell would you be worried about that .33 cent can of corn at Walmart doubling in price? :206:

Someone be lyin'

One of the reasons the tax cut for the rich hasn't sold well on the campaign trail is because it wasn't designed to do much for most Americans and, guess what? It didn't according to a poll released this week by Bankrate. The Hill writes:

Of those surveyed, 17 percent said they were worse off now than two years ago and 45 percent said their situation has not changed. Thirty-eight percent of respondents said their finances have improved.

Huh, so 38 percent think they're better off. Does that percentage sound familiar to anyone?

But more importantly, that means 62 percent of Americans feel their financial situation either hasn't changed or has actually gotten worse while the GOP ran the federal government.

Gee, if only Republicans had thought about anybody but the one percent while they were legislating, maybe they could have actually run on their tax cut. Instead they’ve spent the campaign running from it.

Poll: Majority of Americans say their financial situation hasn't improved since Trump took office

The wealthiest 0.01% of individuals are not the majority :206:

Neither are corporations :21:

If you are in that elite class then you're doing MUCH BETTER under Trump rule.

If not, then you got fvcked :abgg2q.jpg:
Neither are corporations
Ah those evil corporations again. How many people actually work in corporations? Please enlighten US about your knowledge of corporations?

You can’t make the poor rich. It won’t happen. They will remain poor because they will continue to do the things that made them poor. If they don’t work and don’t pay taxes they are never going to get rich. Ever.

So, lemme see how this works:

the poor
the working poor
the average income earner
the middle class
the upper middle class

Last I checked, none of those FIVE descriptions were within the wealthiest 0.01%, nor qualified to be a corporation.

And also, I didn't say a thing about "rich"

Now, what was your comment, again?

It depends on how one manages their investments/portfolio, presidents notwithstanding.

The majority of America does not have a portfolio.
Why? Is it because the libtards of the elite doesn't want to share the profits with the rest of US? So they tell you to get a pension, which is an "Earned Income" and is taxed as such, while Warren Buffet and Jeff Bezos, live off their dividends which are only taxed at 5 to 11%? Gee really nice of them to tell you one thing , then completely do something else that benefits them more? It all goes back to the "Do as I say, not as I do"..

while Warren Buffet and Jeff Bezos, live off their dividends

Amazon and Berkshire Hathaway currently pay no dividend.
Go check the preferred stocks that Buffet owns and see if he has dividends. As for Jeffie the 120 billionaire, here is how he scams out of paying taxes.
Amazon Minimizes Profits Because CEO Jeff Bezos Hates Paying Taxes
Bezos’ recent individual purchase of the assets, not the shares, of the Washington Post allows him to use its prolonged losses to offset his own income — if he plays an active role in its management. Bezos was widely quoted saying he wanted to start Amazon on an American Indian reservation to avoid taxes. Amazon fought hard to avoid collecting sales taxes from its online customers until a late 2013 Supreme Court rejection of its appeal of a New York ruling on the subject forced a capitulation. In 2010 Bezos personally donated $100,000 to an anti-income tax increase initiative in his home state of Washington that succeeded.
Hey I dont mind them using any LEGAL "TAX LOOPHOLE" the government grants them, as I also am using the same way, except I dont have a losing newspaper company to offset my profits. But what I am saying , is idiots like you adore your liberal elites then call the rest of US deplorable, because we should be paying more.

Fraud, as in Tax Fraud, is only one of the policies of McConnell and Ryan's governance, focused not on We the People in the aggregate, but on those who donate to their next campaign.

Let's not pretend the Republican Party puts country first or is the party of the Big Tent. It survives on fear mongering and telling fearful people what they want to hear.

Consider: The R's antipathy for green and renewable energy, the Equal Rights Amendment, Affirmative Action, the PPACA, Public Education, gay and lesbian marriage, abortion and democracy itself.

Consider what the support: A one party system where they have carte blanche to do what they want for the minority who supports them with donations (quid pro quo); telling people what they want to hear, not what they will do or what is good for the vast majority of us.

The poll question is not legitimate, and was intended to produce the result that it did.

Despite the recent "blip," EVERY 401k in the country has increased in value SUBSTANTIALLY since Trump was elected. Every one.

Millions of people are working now that were not working when Trump was elected.

Millions of people are no longer facing possible layoffs, due to the improved business climate caused by Trump's election.

Thousands of businesses have benefitted from the rollback of neurotic regulations at the federal level in the past 18 months.

More than a hundred million people have more money in their paychecks now than they did when Trump was elected. Maybe not a lot more, but more.

These are not "feelings"; these are FACTS. The question seeks to explore peoples' feelings.

I don't care about peoples' feelings, and neither should you. The MSM has embarked on a constant, intense campaign to convince people around the U.S. and around the world, that it was a mistake to elect The Donald as our President. This has an impact on peoples' feelings, but it is bullshit.

Op-Ed ^^^ No facts and no evidence in support of this opinion piece.

Why do people tie their financial well being to who is sitting in the fucking white house?

My situation is much better off, but it has nothing to do with Trump or the government.

Our family income more than tripled during the Obama years, but again it had nothing to do with Obama or the government.

Most Americans are not doing as well as you are. As the poll so clearly demonstrates.

But hey, it's all about you huh?

And since you became completely disjointed from the point of the article. It is Trump, Republicans, and right wing vomit media that told us all how tax cuts for the richest people and multinational corporations, would make everyone better off.

Looks like those people you speak of should have not believed that blatant lie, and cast their votes for people who will repeal it, so that their situations will become better.

You are right, they should not ever believe any politician is going to make their lives better. They should put in the work to improve their situation and quit waiting for the government to do it for them.

How would repealing it make their situations better?

Since you claim this is a fact...Despite the recent "blip," EVERY 401k in the country has increased in value SUBSTANTIALLY since Trump was elected. Every one. I am sure you can provide evidence to support it? If not, then it is not a fact

I’m not sure I can dumb it down enough for you.

Here’s a hint though;

What is this thread about?

Good luck.

I get an extra $130 per month in my pension due to the tax cuts. $1,560 more a year is not chump change!
No one asked me and I am on a fixed income.

So, what are you going to do with your extra $4.27, per day?

Is $4.27 per day extra in your pocket worth having the nation go to Hell?

I hope you enjoy your Happy Meal.

Over twice as many said their financial situation has improved than said it got worse!

MAGA!!!

Hey, the Dems should reverse his tax cut and tax him more, because fuck him!

The problem is the nation is not going to hell. Socialism and Communism use the Big Lie to in an attempt subjugate the people. It's not going to happen in the USA!

My Happy Meal is steak!

It is pretty simple really.

I finished my bachelors and got my Master's and got a new job that pays a bit over twice what the old one did. During this same time my wife started and completed Nursing school and is now working as an RN on a critical care floor of a local hospital. While in school she was working at a PCT which pays for shit, now she is making close to twice what she was as a PCT, but not quite there yet.

It will also be going up a good bit more soon, she has applied to the VA to work at the local VA hospital, and based upon their rating system she will be adding about 15 grand more a year to her salary. She has already been selected and is just waiting on the start date.
