Lost Cosmonauts: Did Marxist - USSR Lose the 1st Astronauts in Space?

I saw something on that not long ago. Don't remember if it was on TV, or an article that I read on the net. The only humans, so far, to have actually died in space were three Russian cosmonauts. Apparently, a seal failed on their craft, letting out the air, and the vacuum of space killed them. Their deaths did not become known until after their craft landed, and they were found dead inside.

All other space-travel related fatalities, so far, have occurred within Earth's atmosphere, and not beyond the point defined as the boundary of “space”.
