No kidding this is the word that defines long word phobia

    Pronunciation

    Noun

    Singular
    hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

    Plural

    hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

    1. The fear of long words, ironically. It is literally the hippopotamus- and monster-related fear of very long words. Ben is a sufferer of a mild form of hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

Oftimes the cure for phobias is to make the sufferer face them head on.

So I imagine the cure for this is a long session with a thesaurus.

Listen. I ain't bragging. But if it ever comes up? I can spell antidisestablishmentarianism without pausing between letters.

    Just saying. We're covered there.

The longest word in the English language is

    Drum roll please

    Sarah McCulloch

The chemical name of the largest known protein

(i thought about pasting in here but that would have been cruel)

Try learning Arabic. Some of the names alone they dream up are real tongue twisters.

I wonder what is the word for fear of flying in a plane-load of Muslims?

It is hard to speak, I understand much of it when I hear it, can tell you which dialect they are speaking.

Say antidisestablishmentarianism real fast 5 times, that should help
