2nd amendment says nothing about having to register, sir. in fact, one could argue that the phrase "shall not be infringed" is violated from laws requiring registration.

That refers to ownership. Why should I be anymore trusting of those that want to hoard guns against some "danger", than the government? At least the government can be voted out. Own all the guns you want, but I want to know how many, where and if they're being stored properly, because I don't trust YOU either. The 2nd amendment isn't a suicide pact, after all.

Serious question for people here who know their state gun law etc: Can a business business make a decision not to allow firearms in their place of business, and if so does someone carrying a concealed weapon (which requires no permit or registration in my state) have an obligation to follow that rule?

4. Our schools are putting out graduates who are more and more leftwing and less and less educated (which goes hand in hand), and we may never get the pendulum to swing back.

5. Unless we can do something about our borders and the Mexican Invasion, it will be too late.

The young people today are going to suffer big time. Their children and grandchildren will suffer as well. I used to feel a sense of guilt because I grew up in the tail end of the baby boomers and it was the baby boomers that screwed everything up. However, watching them march on Wall Street without a clue of why they are there, and watching them vote for hope and change without knowing just exactly what that meant is watching them shoot themselves in the foot and I can just stand back and say "Hey, I tried to tell you it was stupid, but you did it anyway.

So now, I ask you. Worst case scenerio, what should we be doing to prepare for Obamageddon? I have guns (some of which are not registered to me), I have ammo, a generator and I have skills. I also have some .999 silver stashed away, only 20 ounces though. I'm thinking about stashing food as well.

In Texas, you do not need a permit to purchase a gun or rifle. You also do not need to register those weapons or have a license to be an owner of a handgun or rifle.

Same in kansas. You do however have to go through a very quick backround check if purchasing from a retail establishment. It takes me an avg of 15 minutes to buy a weapon.

My hospital doesn't allow weapons on the premises except for policemen, and really doesn't allow them in your cars as well. Though I violate that rule. They are allowed to do that and the penalty is loss of job. I don't think that there is anything else they can do.

OTOH, federal buildings forbid it and I think you can get arrested for carrying guns there.

Hey wait! Things you learn in a thread....My state doesn't require registration or permits to purchase, doesn't require a license, preempts local ordinances to the contrary and allows carry of open or concealed weapons without permit.

In Kansas when concealed weapons became legal with a permit they also passed a law saying that a business can simply post a 'no gun' sign on the front door and people are not allowed to bring them inside. No bringing weapons into any establishment that sells boose.
