The first Automobile in America was made by the Dureya Brothers in 1893 yet the DMV (as we know it now) wasn't established until 1915!

Question for you Liberals: How is it possible that a revolutionary vehicle like that was made without the direct support of a giant gov't agency?

Because back then America still had an A. Had some gubment idiot shown up at their shop with a questionnaire he would have either caught a bullet or wound up swinging from a tree.........as it should be. Think about that the next time some Nazi at the airport wants to tickle your fuzzy, murkins.

How was it possible for Microsoft to get started when the top tax rate was 70% or so?
When they started they had little or no money so they weren't IN the top tax bracket.

Answer Fail! Try to stay on topic please!

Ah, but the Right would have us believe that innovation is being throttled by high taxes. That the super rich 'job creators' have no incentive to do anything because they can't bear the thought of paying an extra 3% on their last million so they'd rather not even make it.

So again, why was Microsoft developed if Bill Gates knew he'd some day face a 70% tax rate on some of his millions?

And yet the Wright brothers famous first flight was financed by government monies, just like the "green technologies" of today.

Oh wait, it wasn't.

It was possible because real liberals don't actually believe what right-wing caricatures say they do.

I realize this is a troll thread right from the title. But sometimes it's like roadkill. You just gotta look. Which raises an interesting question? Should we also credit the Dureya Brothers with inventing roadkill?

It got invented because there wasn't a idiot dimwit that thought of regulating it yet.

Back then the commies didn't control the libtards like they do today.

You succeed again in only exhibiting your ignorance.

You obviously buy-in to the rightist contrivance and myth the ‘liberals’ are somehow ‘hostile’ to free enterprise and ‘dependent’ on government.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

‘Liberals’ are great advocates of capitalism and free markets, and participate and benefit from both daily. If you took your head out of the conservative echo chamber you might be aware of this.

As pragmatists, ‘liberals’ understand that regulation is a necessary evil, given the fact that the ‘natural regulators’ of capitalism are far too weak to be effective in a modern, industrialized society. Regulation is necessary to protect consumers from unscrupulous business owners who would jeopardize the health and safety of consumers in the pursuit of profit.

Consequently, you question is idiotic and moot.

Modern liberalism thought was none existent back then. That mental dysfunction is endemic to our modern day.

It's one thing to invent a groundbreaking product or process, then make prototypes or produce on a small scale- but when you ramp up production on to massive proportions there's got to be monitoring oversight and regulation. But to me liberals, in general, are about over-monitoring, over-oversight, and over regulation.

Over and out.

They are about complete control.
