Yes, these stories are horrible when 22 people die in a bombing, but we have 100 people a day who die of gunshot wounds in this country and we still don't ban guns.

Most of the lone wolves are born in the countries where they carry out their attacks, the immigration thing is a red herring that makes people feel good temporarily. The hard truth about this is that you can't stop all these attacks. You can put more and more resources into stopping them before they happen but criminals find a way out of the prison. There is no defense against a person deciding in their head one day they are going to drive a semi down a crowded street anywhere in the world and run people over. Or some nutjob with an arsenal who goes to shoot up a mall alone or with a group.

Reality sometimes in hard. Flailing your arms and crying "it's the other political party in OUR country that is the problem" isn't solving anything, it is just making the terrorists more effective.
