Last I heard, The American Legion is NOT A PART OF THE GOVERNMENT.

This decision needs to be appealed to Judges that still care about Constitutional Freedoms of Individuals and groups to freely exercise their rights.

This is what Liberals do. When they can't win at the ballot box, they push their agendas in the courts.

In the Mt Soledad case, after the court ruled in 2013 for removal,
the case was finally settled in 2016 by allowing a private group
to buy the land and preserve the historic cross monument.

Previously legal arguments even opposed that as a solution,
claiming govt selling the land to preserve the cross was still showing favor and bias.

Gee whiz, in that case, the govt taking EITHER side is showing bias and favor to religion,
instead of equal protection of both interests!

Either separate jurisdiction or agree on one policy if it's going to be through govt and public law.
But don't abuse govt to FORCE inclusion or exclusion because of differences in belief.

If we all agree to separate, we'd buy out schools to be private,
buy out hospitals and prisons, buy out sites like this one.

So everything would be privatized and govt would shrink
to only what we concede and agree to as public policy.

Isn't that what Conservatives want, to privatize as much
as possible and return control ownership and mgmt back to the people instead of relying on govt?

The American Legion may not be part of government, but supposedly the cross is owned and maintained by the government, and has been since 1961.

"The cross is owned and maintained by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, which acquired it from the American Legion in 1961 due to development around the cross."

Peace Cross of Bladensburg ruled unconstitutional by appeals court

This ruling actually overrules a lower court ruling. The case can still be appealed further.
