I disagree and believe Pence would nominate someone like Ted Cruz and stand by his man.

So the impeachment has to do with hoping they can gain the Senate while holding onto the House even if Trump win a Second Term.

You know, I was thinking the same yesterday. Pelosi has to know this is a very bad decision all around. There are a multitude of reasons, the main one is that they know they cannot beat Trump in 2020, this is a desperation move,

In losing, they realize that Trump will have one or even possibly two S.C picks and it will protect against the progressive, global socialist agenda, while defending the originalists. In 2020, they can't even now rely on the House or Senate victories, so they are all in on WH, even if that president can't do anything but yay or nay the S.C. That's fine by them.

There is one vital fact about all of this, that I think ensures some of the weak Senate stand by Trump...those in the senate and their donors, know this fact about the S.C also. Even the swamp can't avoid this once in a generation opportunity.

I hate to break the news to you Tattoo but Donny isn't going anywhere until at least January 2021 and there aren't going to be any impeachment of judges even after he's gone.

Nah. The real reason is that the Democrat leadership looks at the current slate of presidential candidates, and looks at how unpopular the preliminary platform looks to a majority of Americans...I'm speaking of,

• The Green New Deal,
• Medicare for All,
• Reparations for Slavery,
• Open Borders,
• College loan forgiveness and "free" college for all (paid for by the taxpayers),

and that Democrat leadership sees a train wreck coming in November 2020. The impeachment is intended to so damage Donald Trump that whichever loser comes out of the Democrat Scrum in August, s/he will be "good enough" to beat a damaged Donald Trump.

But as many, many commentators have observed, the Democrats have taken their best shot and the needle hasn't moved a bit. If anything Trump looks better now than when this whole thing started.

Your logic is flawed since (once again)...

The Democrats already know Donny isn't going to be removed from office by the Senate, thus they don't harbor any illusions about stopping any SCOTUS appointments between now and January 2021 using these impeachment proceedings.

Thus this isn't a plausible theory.
