are the books available at bookstores? If so, then they are not banned. If they are removed from school libraries because they are not age appropriate, then they are not banned, they were removed for the same reason you wouldn’t have hustler, or explicit romantic novels in a school library.
That article really didn’t shed light on the books that Florida has banned, I think the best thing is I’ll just look at the list of books Florida has banned and go through some of them to see just what’s in them.
By the way, I think it’s kind of funny what the whole moveon.org thing is doing with the book mobile, where they are driving around handing out books on the banned list for free. They are just wasting money. You see, those books are not banned. They are all probably available at any bookstore in town, they are just not allowed in schools.
So, they are driving around handing those books to people who could readily get them any time they wanted by going to a book store.
That is silly because kids do not have money and cannot "buy" books.
Kids only read books like "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Fahrenheit 451", etc., because it does not cost them anything when it is in a school library.
So by removing these books from school libraries, it is to indoctrinate them in ignorance, not over sexually explicit material.
