let's explain how climate change works

I'm laughing....all the highly educated "real scientists" ...the so-called experts..
.have been telling us for 25 years about global warming yet have yet to make a compelling case to the folks who make public policy. Which means they dabble in a realm of science which can still be considered nothing more than a hobby.

The best chess players in the world may well be playing in Bryant Park in New York City this morning on a public chess board...... but nobody cares because they're still playing in Bryant Park :113::shok::shok:

This thread like the other one arose from the Republican in Alabama incident where he was asking for other factors that could Sea Level Rise.............

In an other thread it was throwing rocks into the ocean causing Sea Level Rise.............

but after watching the video he was looking for other factors.............and Land Subsidence arose............after looking at that it is the major factor of Sea Level Rise and problems in the Chesapeake Bay area..................It is land shrinkage and compaction when we drain the water out of the ground near the shore land................

and it was this that prompted threads like this....................I'm not posting the data here, as I already did on the other thread.......Google Land Subsidence and Chesapeake Bay.........

Enjoy.

Rock taken from dry land, thrown into ocean, displaces its mass in water...

Seriously?
You're going to tell me if you drop a rock in a glass of water that the dimensions of the rock will not displace water in the glass and make the water rise in equal value? Seriously?

that the dimensions of the rock will not displace water in the glass

Dimensions? You didn't say dimensions, you said mass.
"physical displacement" What the hell did you think it meant?

"physical displacement" not "mass displacement"
physical IS Mass...

Rock taken from dry land, thrown into ocean, displaces its mass in water...

Why are you lying?

The energy corporations money has made the most compelling case. In other words, people like Inhofe are corrupt assholes, and need to be voted out of office.

LOL Silly Billy is not lying. Our atmospheric physicist that failed the third grace never had the Euraka moment. And, of course, does not even understand to what that refers. LOL

There are places where the land is subsiding, there are places where it is rising. However, overall, at present, the oceans are rising, and the cryosphere is melting, even as the oceans warm.

He is seriously dim.

But at least he doesn't want to waste trillions on "green energy".

Yep good luck with that!!

How about all the corrupt assholes when Obama was President and had both the Senate and the House. :oops8:

The problem with a lot of science guys is they have the political IQ of a small soap dish. They see the world through the goofball prism of PBS. Then they make these hysterical pronouncements that presidential elections will be decided by the issue of climate change.....

:iyfyus.jpg::iyfyus.jpg::iyfyus.jpg:

The fact is no matter where you look all around the world, the public policy makers are not at all impressed by the consensus science..... one of the many reasons Trump supporters continue to spike the football directly in the face of the modern progressive. Nobody wants to open up their wallet to pay for some st00pid fight against climate change, nor will they. They have waaaaaaaaay more pressing concerns to worry about.:cul2::cul2::cul2:

And the science is so perfect that your side and experts have manipulated data to favor your cause..................and bring up threads that are Lies against those who question you about it..................

It nearly worked this time.............no telling how many else fell for your crap...............The guy was asking for other factors........

Not throwing a little Rock into the ocean and saying SEE IT'S RISING....................In that aspect he asked what effect do the rivers that deposit silk from major rivers and tributaries play................And it wasn't a creek............he was talking about the Mississippi........the Nile.......the Amazon..........etc. and Land Shrinkage.................................

Your side was gonna use this to frag him even though it's a lie.

As pointed out elsewhere, sediment flowing from Earth's rivers are responsible for one half of one percent of the observed sea level rise. Mo Brooks is an ass and an idiot. If you feel like sticking up for him, well...

Well, since most of the Earth's surface area is underwater and sinkholes likely don't care, it follows that sinkholes in the oceans could compensate for that "one half of one percent" sea level rise due to river sediment mentioned earlier.

It was not supposed to. The sole purpose of the OP was to cast doubt as to the reason for the sea level rise, which is, of course, a warming world. More dumb shit from dumb shits.

Sounds like it didn't work. For instance, you still seem to have no doubt as to the main reason for our net sea level rise. Sea level rise being often mentioned in conjunction with climate change. Much as climate change is so often mentioned in conjunction with global warming. What if it backfired? What if all these hand wringing distractions actually made people more interested in understanding these things? More interested in things that make scientific sense rather than less? I mean... lol!

Well, imagine getting one's information concerning climate for scientists, rather than people that have probably never taken a science class in their life. Heresy, correct? LOL
