Legalizing Drugs Puts Drug Dealers Out Of Business

Already happened in Colorado years ago....I always told the "legalize and tax it" dimwits this would happen, but they were too baked to make the connection.

"Legalize and let people do what they want" is more the route to go....Taxing something that people can grow in their closet is dopey.
Kind of like how legalizing and taxing alcohol didn't stop the moonshine business. As long as the black market alternative is cheaper, it's going to exist. Only when the government wises up and allows the price of the product to drop below the black market's price will the black market go away.

With the liquor business, the government has laid off of a lot of the taxation, and allowed the free market to act. As a result, you can get top shelf vodka or gin for $5 or $6 for a fifth. Who is going to want to bother to distill it themselves at that price

Wasn't that the argument? Legalize drugs and the unlawful dealers will go belly up? California has proven otherwise. Of course who would have ever thought that legalizing drugs and putting huge taxes on them would lead to the continuation of the illegal drug market because people could buy them illegally for cheaper than buying them legally?

But the point is the legal drug trade diminishes the black market.

When will the states start selling grass as a commissary item in their penitentiaries? The inmates might be easier to manage if they are loaded, and smoking dope that was keistered into the joint is sort of disgusting and doesn't sound very healthy.
It’s a way to make our population zonked out slaves so if That’s what they want they’ll do it.

Weed causes psychosis so that’s a way to keep up repeat offenders

Again nothing against folks here who smoke. But for every responsible smoker their are 10 irresponsible ones.

Legalise or decriminalise?

Dude......you can get 10 gummies that kick like a mule for $14 bucks, delivered to your house.

Each gummy lasts at least 3 hours. So AT LEAST 30 hours of high for $14.

A pre-legalization eighth costs *at least* $50. And that will keep you high for what? 2 or 3 hours?
