Lawsuit over "Tea Party" Name

It's pretty telling that the Lefties cannot comprehend that individuals can act on their own initiative without a large bureaucracy to tell them what to do.

Nobody said anything about bureaucracy, we're talking about corporations.

Those aren't bureaucracies, those are generally run like little kingdoms.

In my town the tea partiers seem to have been grass roots. it's possible that a few of the organizers got money from larger sources...entirely possible. but they seem pretty grass roots here in alabama.

They are grassroots.

That's what has the leftist Dems in a Tizzy. Many of the moderate ones favor the Tea Party. The Clinton Coalition is breaking up, which could turn the Dems into a rump party.

Just because a movement gets some support from Local owned or even some Nationally owned business, why would that constitute that they are controlling what is going on inside the movement? Maybe they simply believe in the same philosophy of the movement and choose to participate

Great job. I post something that's even-handed...and you use it to spew forth partisan drivel.
You really need to examine your philosophy behind posting...as many others on both sides do.

It's actually a virtue...

No, its not. There's no one to stop the GOP from co-opting the movement, which is what is happening now. There's no one to call out and weed out the extremists (Birthers, Truthers, Racists, and Militiamen) that are trying to cloak themselves in the Tea Party to get credibility, etc.

The danger in leaderless groups is that they turn into a mob, and the sane, reasonable people with a good reason to organzie get trampled by the mob once it gets Outraged! You're maybe 6 months away, probably less, from either GOP outright controlling the movement, or the movement devolving into a nightmare alliance of violent extremists.

It is time for you all to organize at a national level, or everything you're working for will be lost.

Then 2 questions.....

Who does the financing for those really fancy signs and such, and 2............

Why are they doing it?

Doesnt really take alot of money to put a sign together.

Because government isnt listening to them.

A large portion of the signs are handmade. (I hand lettered the poster board for the ones that Mr. Boe and I will be using tomorrow.)

The printed ones can be purchased on Cafe Press and similar websites. Small printers have identified an opportunity to make some money. Yay.

Odd.

They're trying to promote candidates that we wouldn't support," said plaintiff Everett Wilkinson, who has been active in Tea Party events and groups. "The people trust us more than the political parties. We work hard to keep that trust."

I thought there were no leaders as according to Xeno? How can there be this going on then? :eusa_think:

Palin and Bachman ARE the leaders of the teabaggers! Palin is probably using this as an opportunity to hook in people via her television shows, they then see her at a tea bagger convention, and then, when she's got all of 'em eating out of her hand, she's going to use her television connections to run a 3rd party campaign for the presidency.

And Doper Windbag (Oprah Winfrey) is going to be one of the people to support her. Because she thinks she got Obama elected, she's going to see if she can put a woman in the White House.

Just watch.........

So the Tea Party Terrorists are using big government to oppose one guy?

Nearly three dozen people and groups who called themselves part of the Tea Party movement filed suit against O'Neal and two associates in January, accusing them of trying to "hijack" the movement and confuse the public.

go figure...

That is the beauty of the Tea Party. It's all local and grass roots and should stay that way to keep the participants energized and involved

Grass roots?

Bullshit.......the tea bagger movement is astro turf and imported sod lawns.

they have no clue.

that's just it about good astroturfing.
