No, but it makes for a good drama story. all mob/mafia had times when they worked together or kept to their areas for the sake of peace.

Good fellows?? Really, this is how you learn? A jew and an irish in the italian mob?

It might be based on a true story but the book/movie is fiction, artistic license, to make it more exciting.

It is a far cry from the premise that jews control the mobs.
