Kramer goes nuts! - repeatedly shouts '******! - Merged Threads

News flash. Cramer,, Michael What's his name,, used the N word
to fend off some critics during his stand up routine. Yesterday??? Blacks are understandably pissed off. Some of the audience walked out of the show.. But,, the next day, Cramer was doing his stand up thing again.

Now,, Jerry Sienfeld came right to his buddy's defense and said it was a bad thing,, but tried to gloss over the remarks that angered so many... Can it be that more than one set of rules exist in the "comedy/entetainment" world?

Mel Gibson said some shit that he probably should have kept to himself, but is being persecuted to now end... We shall see if there are really two sets of rules and which side wants to apply them in this case.

Merged AGAIN :) C'mon people...SEARCH! :D

Scrutiny of Richards' remarks likely will continue but won't match the level prompted by Gibson's behavior because Richards is far less famous, Levine said.

Wrong. The reason it won't match Mel Gibson's is because Mel had the audacity to be a devout Christian and make The Passion. Hollywood can forgive almost anything but that.

This is sad. Of course, it was very mature of the guy to reply by calling him a cracker, but still, this is totally insane. Michael Richards needs help.

Please note that while the 4-letter words are bleeped, all uses of racial slurs (and there are many) are unedited.

Ever listen to black comedians, or George Lopez? "Honky this" and "whitey that" .... Lopez calls us gringos; which, contrary to popular belief is NOT complimentary in the least. Not an eyelash batted by the PC nor the MSM.

A white guy uses racial slurs in his act and he's getting crucified.

A bunch of PC hypocrisy if you ask me.

But, popular belief is the main issue here: the simple fact of the matter is that to the vast majority of the country, words like "gringo" or "whitey" aren't as offensive as the word "******".

And, there's a difference between using a word in your act and screaming that word in anger at a member of the audience. Like it or not, heckling is part of stand-up, especially in as small a club as he was playing. A major part of being a performer SHOULD be the ability to handle your actions onstage.

It bullshit, plain and simple. Gringo or whitey are no more or less disparaging than ******, ****, pollack, whop, et al.

To clarify, none of them bother me. It's the unequal treatment between one disparaging term and another that grates my nerves; when, both essentially amount to the same thing.

But, that's just kind of the way it is. There are many, many social and historical factors that make a white person calling a black person a ****** far more offensive than a black person calling a white person whitey.

Both are disparaging terms based on race. One is no more or less offensive than the other. That anyone who claims to be intelligent sees one as more offensive than the other defies logic.

It is an arbitrary double-standard set in place by whining minorities and white apologistas.

I understand fully "the way it is." That doesn't make it right.
