Saw it on Untamed Nature on The National Geographic Channel.

Off the coast of Southern California.

The Killer Whale attacks the Great White Shark (both approx equal size) - turns it upside down, drowns it, then eats it.

So now we know.

Do you have a link???

I saw one a few years ago, it was in Nor Cal, @ the farallon islands, about 19 miles off the coast from SF....

Sharks breath through their gills.

The Killer Whale held it underwater upside down for 15 minutes.

The attack sequence is speculation.......

A full grown orca dwarfs the biggest great whites.............

What throws most people off is that Orcas can be so cuddly - like Namu and Shamu etc....

I'll betmost peoplewould havepredicted tyhe Great White Shark to win.

Wans't even acontest.............................................

All the rest left real quick...........

If I recall this particular orca specialized in white sharks..........

So Jaws was a fraud...........................................

I would not say that...... I kayak on the ocean sometimes, I have a very, very healthy respect for them........ Where I kayak @ the ocean is probably not much more than 100 miles from there..........

One spot is called the great white breeding ground.. Tomales bay.

Although it is not true, it something to think about as one paddles over the San Andres earth quake fault......lol
