Ken Burns: Trump using Nazi playbook

Godwin's law (or Godwin's rule of Hitler analogies)[1][2] is an Internet adage asserting that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1"[2][3]—that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler.

Promulgated by American attorney and author Mike Godwin in 1990,[2] Godwin's law originally referred specifically to Usenet newsgroupdiscussions.[4] It is now applied to any threaded online discussion, such as Internet forums, chat rooms, and comment threads, as well as to speeches, articles, and other rhetoric[5][6] where reductio ad Hitlerum occurs.

In 2012, "Godwin's law" became an entry in the third edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.[7]

Congratulations, the OP has Godwinned his own thread with the first post. All should go downhill from here. I say, put this in the Rubber Room and get it over with.
You guys spent eight years calling Obama a nazi, marxist, socialist, etc. So, very nicely, fuck off, blackrook.

I weary of this nonsense, JimH52. Can we just shove you in an oven and get it over with?

Republicans have short term memory problems. They act like they weren't acting rabid these past 8 years. They discredited Obama's citizenship( which Trump help spread that lie) , called him a Muslim ( it shouldn't matter anyway if he was but he's not a Muslim ), compared him to Hitler (The very thing conservatives whine abouy liberals calling Trump) and all sorts of other things.

The alt right and far right and many of the cons opposed Obama viciously and with no civility.

The difference here always comes down to this: Trump is dangerous, Obama is not.

The antiTrumpers showed very clearly that the proTrumpers should never, ever try to get wussy violent. Ever.

Trump will go eventually: constitutionally. In the meantime, any attempt to make America a fascist state is going to get booted up the proTrumper's metaphorical ass.
Is this the same non dangerous Obama who used the NSA and IRS against Conservatives

Keep insulting your political opponents. Keep calling them Nazis and racists.

It worked great for you this year. Please keep it up.

You're standing shoulder to uniformed shoulder with some of them right on this forum. Have you even read this thread?

Ken Burns: Trump using Nazi playbook

Ever since the American people kicked the Democrats out of the White House and every majority in government, the liberals have thrown out what little civilized restraint they had: Now they'll call names, call everyone Nazis, accuse everyone of unspeakable crimes, etc, you name it.

When the going gets tough, these people turn into hate-filled monsters.

We kicked them out just in time.

We saw what it takes to win an election. I googled "Trump and Ivanka incest" and got half a million hits in 1/2 second. Where there is that much smoke, there has to be fire, and the public has a right to know about it.

Little acorn, Hitler ran on making Germany great again. Unemployment was high and there was a world depression. He gave them jobs, built autobahns, and the trains ran on time. The railroads even gave discount rates for hauling people in cattle cars to camps. Manufacturing rebounded with government stimulus of infrastructure and the military complex. Germany got it's groove back! And took no crap from anybody. Hitler bowed to nobody. You know the rest.

I don't care if it's Ken Burns or some idiot on this board you all need to get off the Nazi/Hitler stuff. Bush was not Hitler or a Nazi neither was Obama neither is Trump for everyone who keeps making these type of comparsions grow the hell up already.

I think that's from before the election. But CNN should say the date FERCHRISSAKE. Trump has backed down since.
