Judy Curry Ph.D resigns. Is that last nail in AGW coffin??

Exactly how many scientists have to say GW is BS, let alone AGW is BS before liberals drop the scientific consensus nonsense?
Judith was forced out of Georgia Tech by the unethical administration. On her own Blog she lays it out with brutal reality..
The reward system that is in place for university faculty members is becoming increasingly counterproductive to actually educating students to be able to think and cope in the real world, and in expanding the frontiers of knowledge in a meaningful way (at least in certain fields that are publicly relevant such as climate change). I’ve written on these topics before, I won’t belabor this here.

So why not try to change the system from the inside? Well, this is not the battle I want to fight, apart from any realistic assessment of being able to shift the ponderous beast from within.

Dr. Judith Curry chooses integrity over the state of climate science

As Judith's husband states:
"Her service to academia has been stellar. She took over a struggling department at Georgia Tech and now, 15 years later after 24 hires it ranks in the top echelon of earth and atmospheric schools globally. I would dearly love to say that the present high-level administrators of Tech appreciate her efforts but they are more concerned with being in “lock-step” with consensus positions as well. God forbid that a prominent GT faculty member may question consensus science! Judy, thus, is correct in her assessment of the state of higher education beyond Georgia Tech."

The GT Admin has made it clear they are more interested in toeing the grant monies line than real science.. and they don't care what the ethical or scientific cost is..

It's a shame to see someone with actual integrity leave the world of academia. She was a reasoned voice that will be sorely missed.

Dr. Curry explained,

“the deeper reasons have to do with my growing disenchantment with universities, the academic field of climate science and scientists… I no longer know what to say to students and postdocs regarding how to navigate the CRAZINESS in the field of climate science. Research and other professional activities are professionally rewarded only if they are channeled in certain directions approved by a politicized academic establishment — funding, ease of getting your papers published, getting hired in prestigious positions, appointments to prestigious committees and boards, professional recognition, etc.”
“How young scientists are to navigate all this is beyond me, and it often becomes a battle of scientific integrity versus career suicide.”

Dr Curry would make a huge impression if Trump would use her in his scientific advisor cabinet position.. It would be funny as hell to see GT and their cronies having to beg for funding from her....

where are all the liberal defenders of the scientific consensus???

"At this point, the private sector seems like a more ‘honest’ place for a scientist working in a politicized field than universities or government labs — at least when you are your own boss."

Curry didn't mince words about it either...

Recent Pew poll says almost 3/4 of the public thinks the "consensus" on AGW is total crap. That's huge..........basically signifies that outside the club, nobody cares.:coffee:

And here comes Donald J !!! :deal::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

So, Dr. Curry got a burr under her saddle because other academics simply stated they did not regard her opinion as the most important on the subject. And her little ego ended up bruised. So she resigns with a nasty letter about her peers. That is sure to impress all those in the field. LOL

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Americans are taking global warming more seriously than at any time in the past eight years, according to several measures in Gallup's annual environment poll. Most emblematic is the rise in their stated concern about the issue. Sixty-four percent of U.S. adults say they are worried a "great deal" or "fair amount" about global warming, up from 55% at this time last year and the highest reading since 2008.

What a leftist talking point pile of crap... Done in the John Cook fashion of cherry picking the data...to get a desired result..

If concern about global warming is so high, why does every mid-term election see candidates running on a climate change platform get their clocks cleaned? Why has America seen zero climate change legislation in the past 10 years?

Heres why................

Pew: Only 27% of Americans Believe There is Consensus That Human Activity Causes Climate Change

Its simply not anything Americans are concerned about..........plus they see China building 2-3 new coal plants a month, every year. Then they see US Chill Maps and temperatures at the Gulf Of Mexico are 9 degree's!! Then throw in the knowledge that so many global warming predictions have been wrong...........this is what happens!!

Politically, the climate change industry could not be deeper in the shitter!!

If they are that deep in the shitter, we know one thing with certainty.......the science isn't mattering.
