Judging Eve is wrong, then you learn what you are.

What Rabbi Mannis Friedman fails to include in his story is the conversation that Eve had with the serpent
Actually, he mentions about it. But you, as a Christian, have completely different view on the the world than this man do.

For my part, I dont get an idea about the original sin. All happened according to God's 'plan'. The man was given a free will and the right of choice. And they exercised their right. As far as I am aware, even the role of Satan has absolutely different understanding in Jewish and Christian traditions.

God the Father is a being who knows the future before it happens. He knew Adam and Eve would fall before he ever placed them in the Garden of Eden. For this reason he called and chose a Savior before the foundation of the world before Adam or Eve were ever placed into the garden.

1 Peter 1:18-20
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Coming to this earth and going through mortality was part of the plan that God had for us.

Knowing ahead of time would also have god chose who would temp/deceive Eve and cause the sin.

Satan of the talking serpent did not have a free choice in his/their role s did they?

If not, neither did A & E, as their sin was pre-planned and impossible for them to not do. Right?

You are calling what happened a fall. Why then do Christians sing of Adam's sin being a happy fault and necessary to god's plan?

If necessary, then Christians should celebrate when they sin and exercise their happy fault as god wants them to sin.

Adam and Eve were given a choice. They made the choice, not God. Had they not done the stupid of taking advice of a snake whose being requires deception, paradise might be their eternal home. Instead, they lived to see one son murdered by the other son, whom they banished to the ends of the earth with no backs. Blame God all you want. God did not make that life- limiting decision. Adam did as the snake advised Eve, and not as God said. Lol.

Adam and Eve were given a choice

We can say, at the very least, the decision was not an informed one.

Adam and Eve had been given no warning as to the consequences of their decision.

A lot was riding on that decision, they should have been given a chance to read the fine print.

Go ahead. You're not the first person to continue making God responsible for Adam's mistake. He rather clearly told him NOT to eat of the fruit of the Treeof the knowledge of good and evil. Yet you blame God for the man's disobedience. Doh. To this day, courts determine that the person who did the mistake pays the price, not the judge. Even the Greeks knew you should never kill the messenger. But you do, eh. LMAO

Incorrect, because Eve was not created with the authority to avoid the conversation with the devil. God knew that this was only a matter of time and that is why God was not even surprised after it happened.

The Bible does not make your irrelevant claim. I'm sorry you're grabbing at straws to change the Biblical narrative.

Adam ate the damn fruit. God called him on the carpet for it, not his rib companion.

Even so, their idyllic life was over. He evicted them for disobedience against his advice in favor of the damn snake. Lol. Get a life..

I don't hold Hashem responsible for Adam and Eve's choice any more than I blame the casino for some dumb schmuck losing his rent money at the blackjack table.

You have to wonder however, the omniscient creator of the universe had to have known how this was going to play out.

No, your logic is incorrect because it is based on political judgement in contrast to theological correctness.

What is not in Genesis is that Eve had any sort of will or affiliation to have that conversation and that fruit. Neither did Adam.

In the bible, that conversation may be played By the devil, but in modern life every more expensive high end sales seminar and training course includes how you can impose that conversation on anybody such as your clients.

There is today even a terminology for it, called Neuro kinetic language, covert conversational hypnosis, and so on.

And your clients will never be able to figure out why they bought that car from you that they didn't want or why they bought that house from you that they didn't want ... and so on.

Like Adam and Eve couldn't figure it out either. Political judgement of the verses in the bible is misleading.

The word is spelled judgment.

I believe Adam was banned from the Garden of Eden on account of his disobedience to God's specific order to leave the fruit alone and not eat off that tree.

Belief is from simple faith in God. That is not political. It's a biblical narrative, and here we are thousands of years later watching those who do not believe the simplest of a story, and have thrown in several theories not reviewed in this simplest of stories.

And I'm not buying the fault flicking from the violator of God's command to Adam not to eat that tree's fruit into God forcing his man to doing what he warned against. No, free will is a gift, not a trap.

Yall have fun shaking yer fists. I'm done here. Ciao.

Was it a mistake? Or is the mistake picturing God as angry and devising punishments? In the garden was the tree that held the knowledge of good and evil. God's advice was to be happy as they were, but Adam and Eve made a choice to learn about good to learn about evil. God then speaks to them and explains what that choice brings into their lives. He also assures them that He will not abandon them.

Yadda yadda yadda. A story as it is written is too hard for some readers

Or possibly, to know both good and evil, one has to reside outside God's garden.

You have to wonder however, the omniscient creator of the universe had to have known how this was going to play out.
Or, mankind was given a choice--and God, being God, could work with any choice we made.

God would not be justified in exacting a negative consequence on Adam and Eve if it was He Himself who forced the fall of Adam and Eve. Surely Adam and Eve were give their free will to choose whether to partake of the fruit or not. Adam and Eve did not fully understand the consequences of their actions but they certainly had the will to do what the chose to do. Eve believed the serpent and had a desire to become like God. That was not a lie. However, she had never experienced death before so she didn't fully understand what that actually meant. She also had not experienced a liar and perhaps did not realize that she was being deceived. She simply believed the serpent over God and chose of her own free will and choice to partake of the forbidden fruit. She then got Adam to also partake of the fruit.

God knew this would happen and had already provided a Savior for fallen man even before the earth was created. Adam and Eve were given the knowledge of good and evil and had become like God in this respect. But death also came upon them and their future posterity.

Jesus Christ's atonement atones for original sin. We are not held accountable for the fall of Adam. Because of this, all mankind who come to this earth will be resurrected and live forever in their resurrected bodies.

1 Corinthians 15:22
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

God cannot do evil. But everybody does His will. Even including the serpent., which it doesn't even know.
God told them to be fruitful and fill the earth. But we will need the spirit of lusting in order to do that. Sexual immorality is a sin. But God cannot give us that spirit.
When I was a child, having sex never crossed my mind. That the desires had came to me later on in life. But God needed Adam and Eve to start procreating.
It is hard for a parent to teach their children about the birds and the bees. And so God had the serpent to do it for him. He knows that the serpent will oppose Him. And so when God want it to go low, That God will tell it to go high. Like in the book of Job explains the tactics God uses on the serpent.
And so the fruit have gave the couple knowledge of good and also of wickedness. That they had started desiring one another, and having the knowledge of knowing where to place things. But during this period, God turns away. But He had sanctified the bed that it said in the scriptures., and so what ever He cleansed, we eat.
But the serpent didn't know that it was doing God's will. That is one of God's command to filled the earth. And that is why they had made it a top priority. That one of the reason that it said in the book of Jasher the reason why He flooded the earth.

The transgression of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was not of a sexual nature. Adam and Eve were married and Eve was his wife before the fall.

Genesis 3:8
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

As you can see in this verse above, at the time of the transgression Eve was already the wife of Adam. It is not against the commandments of God for a man to know his wife intimately and have sex with her. It is sanctioned by the Lord and for this reason the command to multiply and replenish the earth was given. Sex in this way is a good thing and not a bad thing. Only the misuse of sex by fornication, homosexuality, adultery, etc., etc. are evil and looked down upon by the Lord. The daughters of Lot in their decision to have sex with their father was evil and not sanctioned by the Lord as you quoted in Genesis 19:32.

So, where is the free will in the conversation between Eve and the devil? Eve was not expecting it. Free will exists, yes, but Eve or Adam were not the ones using it now we're they?

We are all met with uninvited conversation in our lifetimes but this does not mean that we have no free will to choose. While watching T.V. I am often bombarded with commercial from vendors who wish for me to race out and buy their products. So if I impulsively run out and buy their products, are you saying that I had no free will in my decision to purchase those products? Eve's situation was quite simple. God commanded that she should not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. She chose not to abide by God's command. Yes, the devil like the vendors of a commercial was there and tempted her to eat the fruit, but she still had the choice to not eat it. She chose to eat it of her own free will without compulsion and thus received the consequences of her disobedience. The devil didn't force open her mouth and shove the fruit into it. He simply tempted her to do it of her own free will and choice. He definitely lied by telling her she would not die, but Eve still had the choice to obey her Father in Heaven or to heed to the temptations of the devil. She made her choice and thus received the pre-known consequences of her decision.

The Scriptures in the New Testament never mention Eve sinning, only Adam. The fall of God's creation came when Adam sinned, not Eve.
