This a win for law enforcement at all levels, for city and local department members of tri-state criminal intelligence bureaus in particular, whose own CI units depend on access to information entered into the system at the federal level without the political filter, to track, investigate and help predict major crimes, immigration related or otherwise. No criminal should be protected by legalized political "blankets" they can pull over their heads and hide under.

Currently, dealing with illegal migrants, from a law enforcement perspective, is more akin to defensive driving on a Chicago highway on Christmas Eve, rather than doing anything about reducing or diverting traffic to begin with. Protecting legal residents is the strategy of day in many local and state departments, or so it seems, from hostile cultural and criminal cultures some illegals pack up back home and bring along with them, and then unleash here among the generational populations. One day, the tide will turn. For now, the schools of fish are running dense and heavy, and mandated, licensed "fisherman" across the US are more concerned with catching a few from shore, rather than netting millions from long line fishing boats. We need a new fleet, one with bigger nets, before we get back out to sea.
