That may be part of their motivation, but I wouldn't have voted for that garbage legislation either were I in Congress. They were going to continue to allow up to 5,000 migrants a day to cross through our borders when we can't even process the millions who are already here. That is plain insanity. The southern border needs to be closed to anyone without a valid passport or visa until we can sort all of this out and get a reliable system in place. The only acceptable number of migrants and asylum seekers (almost all of which whose claims are bullshit) we should be processing is zero.
