Jobs Saved?

Yup and I wonder who Selybob thinks it will cost the American taxpayer to support the fourteen thousand refugees douchebag is bringing into America. We will be paying for those assholes for decades

On average, each Middle Eastern refugee resettled in the United States costs an estimated $64,370 in the first five years, or $257,481 per household.

Multiply that by years and the 7 million is less than a drop in the bucket.

Most of them will have good jobs and be more productive than your average Trump voter sitting on his couch whining about why he doesn't have a good job like his dad had.

(Hint. Dad belonged to a union!)

Carrier is getting a modest $7 million in financial incentives over the next 10 years from the state of Indiana to keep 1,000 jobs at an Indianapolis plant, sources familiar with the deal tells CNN.

7 million is "modest" by you?

That's $70,000 per employee! For jobs that pay, what, $30,000 a year?

And that doesn't even count all the military contracts united technologies (Carrier's parent) has been promised we don't know about.

Wasn't this the kind of "Crony Capitalism" that Trumpenfuhrer said he was going to stop?

Modest by Indiana idiot. If they didn't want to make that deal than they wouldn't have made it.

Oh and you can speculate all you want but its a done deal and Indiana is happy with it even if an idiot like you isn't.

Republicans didn't want to hear about the number of jobs Obama saved. Remember? Now they're talking about how many jobs trump saved yesterday. Really? Because to me trump gave the company a huge tax break and we lost 1000 jobs yesterday

Democrats didn't want to hear about the H1B programs or the offshoring or outsourcing.
Why after a GOP landslide victory would carrier be going overseas? Why not wait for Republicans to fix the economy?

This smells like fake news. Spin. Instead of losing 2000 they saved 1000? Fuck that. Let's see if there is a pattern in the next few years. Every company that sends half their jobs overseas, trump will claim to have saved the other half.

I don't remember Republicans caring about jobs saved until now

Why should they be? In two years, Carrier will be looking for another deal to send 500 of those jobs to Mexico. Then in two years, they'll be looking for a deal to save 250 of those jobs.

Wait a minute, didn't someone say Socialism only works until you run out of other people's money?

The reason why is that Obama claimed to have saved more jobs than even existed at companies...

The GAO reported his failed Stimulus cost $774,000 PER JOB he claimed o have created / saved.

I don't remember the Democrats giving a damn until now.

Sealybooboo resorts to the latest left loon talking point....priceless

.

Trump gave them tax breaks to send 1000 jobs overseas. No different than bush.
.

Trump didn't give 'em shit , he was the middle man, The State of Indiana gave 'em $5 million in edge tax credits over 10 years and an additional $1 million in training money and $1 million related to Carriers investment in the plant.

In return they got to keep those 1,100 (tax paying) jobs in the State of Indiana and a commitment from UT to invest at least $16 million in the Indianapolis Plant.

Sounds like a good fucking deal to me.

President doles out taxpayer funded subsidies to protect union special interests.

That's how the Republicans would have characterized this deal a month ago.

Gee, what's changed?

It's estimated Obungle's automotive bailout cost the American taxpayers between 9.3 billion and 16.6 billion dollars depending on source....7 million is chump change
To say nothing of how Big Ears really screwed GM bond holders, but that fact is glossed over by the left and their media.
All you care about are ceo's and shareholders. What about workers?

The economy is great for rich people. Now you are back to worrying about them and not blue collar?

What about blue collar?

To you, it would.

1000 of those jobs are going to Mexico. In a couple of years, the rest will, too.

so Carrier scammed the government out of some money until they get their Mexico plant up and running.

That sounds more like a protection racket than a deal.

"Nice jobs you have here... a pity if something were to happen to them!"

Your way shifts the tax burden more onto the middle class and adds to the debt.

Doesn't matter what I say were going to try it your way. I just want to point out the flaws with your plan and point out the hypocrisy

Yeah, I agree with Republicans on this one, I don't want to hear about them either because they were mostly theoretical "jobs saved" (as in; it's all on paper with no living, breath human being that can be pointed to), the Carrier deal saved ACTUAL JOBS held by ACTUAL PEOPLE, there are 1,000 or so families in Indiana that won't be facing imminent unemployment because of the deal.

Take off your partisan glasses for a moment and be happy for those people in Indiana and give the Donald just a little bit of credit, your head won't explode or anything.

Yes helping a multi billion company with corp tax breaks, more for the CEO's. I guess the middle income man can give money to corps, and well we'll see if their benefits drop or their pay(the workers) , also about 800 jobs were saved, and most jobs are going to Mexico.

He was suppose to get tough , not pay them to stay.

Yup. Me too. Apparently the lefty loons on this board wouldn't know a good deal if it kicked em in the ass.

They are all a bunch of sore losers who just can't believe that Trump, the joke, is doing what he said he would. Indiana made the deal but as you said, Trump was the middle man.

They are all a bunch of partisan hacks and sore losers.

I came up with this on my own. You take your talking points not me.

I notice in 2009 you didn't believe in jobs saved now it's your talking point. Pathetic

If you say so and we all know its exactly what your sorry ass would say. LOL

I'd say the workers in Indiana were the winners.

Carry on sore loser.
