Jesus was a capitalist – not a socialist

But, thanks for another reminder.
Lol, evangelicals are no longer christians. Didn't you hear?
It is funny when Progs talk of God and such. When their policies and agendas have taken our nation far away from God as possible.

By the way , the Separation of Church and state still remains in some states. If you republicans had a choice you would lock up gays and take females reproductive rights away.

Israel has state paid healthcare and they pay for abortions, and anyone can get one. Tel Aviv is also the gay place to be on the globe, yet Republican and Evangelicals are very pro Israel, why is that? One would think you'd love Iran the
most.
Is that what you believe? You spout Separation of Church and State like it is doctrine. It is not. The founders put God in the documents they made. They made a Republic. The Republic today hangs by a thread as Democracy is near total control. And with Democracy starts tyranny. and the tyranny has expanded immensely over the decades and years. By the time you are done it will be totally authoritarian. There will be very little Church and a lotta lotta State. And then the leaders then will deal with the issues you brought up and many more and not in a good way.
It is doctrine. Freedom of and from religion is one of the cornerstones of our nation. You have heard of the 1st amendment, right?

there is no 'freedom from religion' in the 1st Amendment. You're just clueless.

The Separation clause is about keeping the Federal got. from interfering with religion, not the other way around , for one, and for two states can have a state favored sect if they so chose to, which in fact many did for decades after the ratification of the Constitution. You don't know what you're talking about as usual.

It works both ways. Yet they make laws about the Muslims and the Mormons. Go figure!

No, it doesn't work both ways, just one way; it keeps the Feds out of it totally. Islam is a violent political ideology, not a religion, and totally incompatible with the Christian roots of American law and government. Nothing in the Constitution keeps a state from banning Islam outright.

And there ya go, taking the Christ outta Christianity again.

I know this has already been posted, maybe you missed it?

There is no Christian roots of the USA. There is freedom of religion and that religion includes being an agnostic or atheist.

the Hasidic Jews in NY are probably worst than the Muslim pop of Dearborn, oh wait the Muslims of Dearborn is not the welfare capital and baby boom capital of the US.

Hasidic Jews, like many other Orthodox Jews, typically produce large families; the average Hasidic family in the United States has 8 children.

You do not have freedom "from" religion in this nation. IOW you cannot expect to walk around daily life in America being unencumbered by others' religion--seeing no crosses, hearing no prayers, reading no verses. That would infringe on THEIR rights to religion. The only thing you can reasonably expect is that the GOV"T does not have a State Religion. That is all the Constitution means. It does not establish YOUR right to live "Free" from religion in that you do not have to encounter it.

It's not even a difficult question, and I hope you know the answer, but these things cannot be assumed. They believed in the Christian God. But they did not form a Christian Religion State for us.

Are you too lame to figure out how not to practice religion under a freedom of religion clause?

We have no freedom from religion clause. We need no freedom from religion clause.

Why do you lefties hate the Constitution?

That's what I said. You cannot use the government to force me to follow your religion. Many of you conservative types want to do that by teaching it in public schools and displaying religious monuments in front of court houses and such.

Uh I got news for you. Teaching comparative religions is already pretty standard in most upper-level schools. As long as it's handled objectively this is not a problem. Also. Seeing a religious monument is in no way "forcing you to follow your religion". It's a statue, or a monument, or whatever. I believe the courts have recently begun to see it that way as well.

Comparative religion is only a thing in private religious schools, and is total bullshit anyway. Just and excuse to push one of the various sects of Christianity on impressionable children. Indoctrination in other words.

Religious monuments on government property creates the impression the government approved this over other religions.

The religious basis for society has a history. So does the political basis. The fact is, the religious basis has heart/soul as a reference, where the purely political has none. Ideologists miss an important point in ignoring this.
Any form of social network would work if the participants believed in it.

Um, no. My kids took those courses in middle school in our public schools, as part of their social studies/history courses. And if you can't stand to see a religious monument because it "creates an impression", you really are a snowflake of the highest order. Get a hold of yourself.

Imagine the fit Republicans would have if the schools in Ilan Omar's district or if places like Dearborn, MI started implementing Sharia law or if they started putting up Muslim religious shit in their public highschools.

Just remember they get the same freedoms you do. So if you know why they shouldn't be allowed to push their religion, you should better understand why you need to keep Jesus out of the class room. It's not appropriate. Would you be happy if you had a bunch of atheists in your class and all they did was mock your phony made up religion as being bullshit? They would be correct.
