Saying he wants to draw attention to the link between the decreasing number of jobs and the increasing number of violent gun incidents, the Rev. Jesse Jackson is calling for a series of protests today at gun shops around the country.

In metro Detroit, a group led by the Rev. David Bullock of Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church in Highland Park will protest noon-1 p.m. outside Action Impact Gun Shop on West 8 Mile Road in Southfield.

A prayer vigil was to be held in Flint, but was later canceled.

Is there anybody here that thinks a gun ban would take guns away from criminals?

Is there anybody here that has not already learned that GUN CRIMES ARE LESS FREQUENT WHERE GUN CONTROL DOES NOT EXIST?

The arguments against lawful possession of guns are so flawed and have been rebutted without doubt for so many years, it should be a felony to even suggest extensions of the gun controls laws we already have...such as carry permits.

Actually, some do. They are stolen from the original purchaser.

...or they are confiscated by the police and never given back because the owner can't find the ORIGINAL bill of sale...this even though the gun store has a record of the sale and serial number. These confiscated guns are either destroyed (as in the case of cheap Saturday night specials) or kept as booty by the police pirates (as is the case of high value collector's items..such as those costing in the thousands of dollars), given away or sold illegally back into the pool on now untraceable handguns.

I had (illegally) loaned one to a friend to protect himself during a particularly broiling domestic issue. He was detained, but not arrested and MY gun retained but never returned. Since the gun was inherited by me, there was no bill of sale available and the SHP would not return it. They claimed it was to be destroyed. This was a near mint condition S&W .38 Chief's Special AirWeight Hammerless. A close friend within the SHP told me they never destroy valuable guns...they just take them home.

Yes, he is lying to promote gun control....just as Obama and Eric Holder are lying about Fast and Furious and their failed attempt to promote more gun control than we already have.

What Brother Jesse needs to concentrate upon is ANGER MANAGEMENT among black males. He complains that there are more blacks per capita in jails than whites per capita (this is because they commit more crimes per capita) and he thinks the solution is to force them to change the type of weapons they use by taking all guns away from all people.

Jesse has been pulling the wools over the eyes of blacks for years and they still don't get it. I wonder how many will show up, no one give a S&^% about Jesse Jackson and if the blacks every figure out how much they have been giving him to represent him and how much damage he has done to (not for) black people he will need to leave the country and return to that other bastion of black prosperity, Africa.
