Year or 2 ago. You living under a rock? It was all over the news. AN anonymous call claimed one girl was in jeapordy in a religious compound and the State raided the compound, they found no evidence of any child negligent ot abuse but because they disagreed with the religion they seized all the children in the compound INCLUDING 36 pregnant women 18 and older, in the hopes of gaining custody of their children if born while in State Care.

Birth Certificates were provided and the Judge refused to accept them. When it was finally over, several months later, the Higher Court in Texas ordered all the children released because the seizure violated the very laws on the books in Texas.

The State got part of what it wanted, it threatened the mothers that if they returned to the compound the State might again seize their children so some never returned.

In the end ONE guy was charged with marrying one girl under age.
